Basketball Walk-Ons

Okay so this was during the fab 5 heyday. Our shorts weren’t bad, they weren’t Arkansas but they weren’t Horny’s either. The dispute was over not being able to wear black socks. Dumbest crap ever right? What a fascist **** coach that guy was. The bad part was that i had to have him as a teacher later in HS and he was always a ********** to me!
Were black athletic socks a thing when you were in HS or did you want to wear dress socks?

Did anyone else play in the under 6 foot tall basketball tournament at ISU? After one of the PG's got kicked off the team (Tim something) for smoking weed, he played with us. Still got second place.

We played in the 6' and under league every year. Personally, I am a 6' even center stuck in a guards body. I would practice at the rec, posting up on 6'4" ish guys so that IM defenders seemed like nothing. Over my 4 years of that league, I averaged 15 pts and 15 rebounds (usually just cleaning up my own misses).

Now if only they used 9' rims for that league...
