I'm pretty sure I read he might have trouble qualifying but I could be wrong.
He is also a moderate target of IU currentl, and you are exactly right. there are questions about whether he'll be able to qualify.

I don't get his offer list on Rivals. I know those aren't always up to date, but the biggest offer he has listed is Baylor. You'd think the big names would be knocking down the doors to get this kid, unless there are some unknown issues.
5* players are frequently ready to make an impact. There were four 5* point guards last year and two are now in the NBA. There were five 5* point guards in 2008 and four are now in the NBA.
Agreed, and Scott Drew will do just about anything to win. It's not every day you see a 5* kid with single digit offers, and no mention of KU, UNC, Duke, etc.Baylor is a big-time offer right now.
This would make not getting Paige tolerable... of course we could end up without either...
I agree with that, but I think that is more true in offenses that are complex (e.g. McD offense).
If what FH wants to do can happen (going up tempo), that becomes less important. Given how much we have coming in at guard for 2011 and the caliber of players we have coming in I think we will be able to run. From FHs description he wants to run a pretty simple offense because you don't want your players to not know where they're supposed to be on the court or what they should be doing. Playing the PG spot still requires good judgement, but not necessarily tons of experience.
Here's hoping at least
I thought all you had to do was stand around and look at whoever happened to be dribbling the ball in GMAC's system? Seriously though, how exciting is 2011 going to be? I think I'm going to have to work studying abroad around the BBall team. Can you imagine if FH gets to the Sweet 16 or even the tournament in his second year?!
We could also be destroyed by a rogue asteroid tomorrow. If you're going to go negative, go big.
I feel very confident that the best scout team in America will combine with some talented sophomores to make a run into the tournament. Throw in a talented young PG like this guy, and I refuse to slow down on my Kool-Aid consumption or sharing. Expectations (at least from me) will be enormous!
Yes, especially if said sophomores were already seasoned with say, some sort of miracle NIT run?
