BartTorvik update...

I don't think this team loses at OSU.
I refuse to predict a win. Don't forget they absolutely embarrassed us in Hilton last year when we scored under 40. Every team in the league is capable of beating anyone if they're on and the 'better' team is just a little off. And now we have that highly ranked target on our back.

I like our chances...but I'm not gonna be pissed if we lose. The league is just so tough.

This is for sure. Look at Oklahoma.

Three losses by a total of 8 points......2 wins by a total of 4.

They are as close to being 5-0 as they are 0-5.

Take away WVU.......KU's other 4 wins have been by 11 total points.

Crazy league.

I feel confident in this teams ability to win. I think they will, but I won't lose my **** if they don't. It's basketball and weird **** happens. See the Iowa game.

OSU will be tough. I guess we'll see how they do against OU. They have some good size inside and then scoring ability at guard. Foul trouble will tell how this game goes. I'm not going to bet against ISU's toughness, but OSU can go off some and they are tough inside.

Updated from win tonight...

#9 overall

A few weeks ago they had us going 7-11 in the league...

...Now they have us going 12-6.

They have us losing to OSU by one this weekend. But they've flipped us from losing at Missouri and Texas Tech to winning...

@Sigmapolis is going to order a hit on you for cutting into his BartTorvik analysis. ;)

My personal happiness will be achieved if the team runs the table in Hilton. It's been a long time since we've had a undefeated season at home.

If we run the home court and steal some on the road it'll be house money in the tourney.

We were so damn close there in 13 and 15. Robbed of it in 2013 by the awful officiating in the KU game, honestly.

We shouldnt, but I am counting on a few doozies this year. League is too deep for it not to happen.

Will it be OSU? I wouldn’t bet on it but literally nothing would surprise me after following this league for so long

Every single game is huge. Every game requires that the team hits the floor with effort, execution and toughness, and it's a long, brutal season that will wear guys down from time to time.

If there were a way to accurately measure effort, I'm confident we would be leading the league in that category.

I'm not overly concerned about this, but because this schedule is such a ridiculous grind (we're only 1/3 of the way through), and because our guys are human, I think there may be a few nights when it's gonna be really difficult to maintain their incredibly high level of intensity. But I guess every other team will have the same challenge.

I think maintaining this level of intensity is very difficult, game in game out. However, one difference in last year's team that faded down the stretch of Big12 play and seemed tired, and this year's team, is we have more horses. King who I think is playing very solid if not very good, only played 13 minutes last night. Kunc, Ward & Watson are all formidable. So while I think we'll have a sleeper of a game somewhere, I don't think we'll fade like last year.

This team is different.
