Barnett to start against Texas Tech

This.
I believe A&M was dead last of all D-1 teams in that category.
I'm actually beginning to worry about Kansas. I really like Rhoads and hate the thought of him going winless in conf play this year. Its a real possibility though. Our offense simply isnt good.

My god. Don't be that guy that says we will lose to KU. That being said, the chances of us making it to a bowl game this have pretty much evaporated.

I don't that is the case if you thought we would make it to the bowl game. If one were projecting 6 wins, I would think that our four losses would all have been losses. My 6 wins would have been the three we had along with TT, KU, and KSU. KSU seems ot be really good but I think they are a good matchup for us because they are somewhat limited offensively and there isn't a huge talent gap. I don't think anything is a given but I don't think that our bowl chances should be greatly diminished due to what has happened so far.

Where did I say that you are clueless because you think Barnett should start.

You are just clueless in life. Go start a meltdown thread again!

I'm clueless in life because I just happen to live in reality, or what? Would you be happier with me if I only posted everything you wanted to hear about ISU football, instead of the truth?

We aren't very good... period. We haven't beaten anyone that's very good this year at all. Against good teams, we've shown what we really are... very average.

We don't have consistent QB play, pretty bad WR's, an overrated OL, a DL that tries hard but just gets manhandled, a very thin LB corps, and average defensive backs. That's what we are. If that makes my entire life clueless by your judgement of me, then so be it. Go ahead and continue living in la la land.

Ohhh... and by the way... you don't even know me. And I don't know you. The difference is, since I don't know you, I don't claim to know if your life is clueless or not? But you seem to know that mine is. Good for you.

Picking between QB's that have this amount of talent to catch the ball has to be REALLY hard.

So many different receivers would not be seeing time on the field if our starters were good/consistent. I couldn't care less if it's old to some of you or not - our receivers lack the speed/ability to get separation from defenders. It's just a fact.

I'll try not to be that guy, but it's hard for me to say that ISU will most certainly win that game. Realistically speaking, the Clones are the best chance for the Jayhawks to get a conference victory this year, and yes why they are terrible they probably will be pretty pumped to play at Jack Trice on November 5.

Watching the game right now. I was working yesterday afternoon so all I could do was listen to it. Jantz' int was not his fault. Lenz hesitated, and because of that, was not where he should have been. The ball would have been right there for Lenz to catch had he not hesitated. A dropped pass and two poorly thrown balls later gave Barnett the opportunity. I like what I see from Barnett. He has a very good arm, and looks a lot bigger than he is listed as. He is faster than Jantz, but Jantz appears to be a better passer. When healthy, Jantz is the better overall QB. When, and it is a matter of when, not if, Jantz is the QB again, I think we will see him play a much cleaner game. Barnett is young, and he is going to get better, but right now Jantz is the better QB when healthy. Barnett makes one read and sticks with it. You will not get away with that. Defenses will recognize that eventually and burn you. This can be fixed easily with experience and coaching however. Jantz will look for other options most (not all the time) of the time. JB definitely earned the starting nod this week by showing poise and not turning the ball over. However, he still threw a lot of bad balls that could/should have been picked off because of a poor throw or him staring down one man. He has a lot of potential though, and I am excited about his future.

With all that said, as long as the play calling is predictable and pathetic, it does not matter who the QB is. There was at least 3 if not 4 times where Herman called the bubble screen where Texas A&M was waiting for it in the first half alone. Herman is a poor excuse for an offensive coordinator. As long as he is calling plays, this offense isn't going to put up many points.

Pretty sure the Packers played 7 or 8 WRs today, and I think their starters are good/consistent.

Yes because comparing professional athletes to a mediocre football program is the same thing.

That's exactly the point! The number of receivers used is not indicative of anything, other than the fact that you use a lot of receivers.

Jantz's interception was 100% on Josh Lenz. It was clear watching the game yesterday that Lenz stopped the route and after watching it again on tv today it is crystal clear. You can't stop in a route like that. Not on Jantz

You don't see college teams play 7-8 receivers during the course of a game on a regular basis? ********.

No you don't. Most teams though have at least one go to receiver that rarely comes out of the game though. How many wr's does okie st generally play in a game 4-6?

I'm not sure stopping or not changes it. The ball was rather high and Lenz went up for it.
