Average auto loan now over $30k

I'm not going to jump to thatguy's defense, buuut I do agree just a little.

I'm from the Midwest and I do carry the conservative spending learned in God's Country. It's a broad brush, but on the whole I'd say a Midwestern person would be a bit more reluctant to cut a big check for a fancy car.

Again...big brush. But I'm "thatguy" when it comes to being conservative with the pocketbook

But not a fancy truck.

Lol....I know lots of conservative Midwestern ers that justify the heck out of owning a $50 K truck or wives of such that think they need a Tahoe.

I'm not going to lie. I just spent $50k+ on new SUV. I also drove my previous one for 250k miles and plan on driving this one for 300+.

I think where people get screwed is constantly having payments and trading in cars all the time.

Midwestern weather, if I had to quantify it, would be worth something like -$125k.

Weather yes, but stuck up snobby *** CA people equals - $250k.

We travel a lot for work, and over the latest 20 years I have found in general CA people have to be the most obnoxious superficial people, and that factor doubles in LA and SF
