Im guessing that was tickets sold. But not necessarily present through the doors
Likley so but 60% is far too low of an estimation. I was there... 80%-85% is more accurate.Cause every single person that bought a ticket was there.

I like the way ISU has students behind each basket. After all, it is their team more than ours while they are in shchool. My fondest memories from my student days @ Hilton were the couple of games I had under the basket - back when they had assigned seating student ticket blocks and moved you around. This is an age old problem; not just for ISU but all programs. You have to put the student section at court level. They can't cheer from the upper deck and create an awesome home court advantage; and donors have to realize that. They have to be OK with paying way more than students but sitting above them; and realizing that's part of their experience. We fill Hilton every game but we can't have courtside seats sitting on their hands. Give them something else that enhances their experience. T-shirts, donor gifts, recognition, concessions, access to pre/post game interviews, whatever; but put the loud, obnoxious student section front and center.
You do realize this is not an actual picture right???yeah, the shirt idea seems to be the best, and I also think a lot of it comes down to marketing and promotion. It seems like every other school in the nation has it figured out but us. I don't buy the whole, fans don't care excuse. I remember going to gold out games like 10+ years ago and those seem to be successful. Of course, back them you had paper tickets that said "color it gold or color it cardinal"
do schools like Tennessee hand out shirts since they seem to knock it out of the park always.![]()
Just cake some snow on ya at that time.60% Bro what are you talking about?
It was 93% full --- attendance was 13,377 / 14,356
Also, gold/yellow ISU stuff is really not all that common and most would rather wear/buy red, white, grey, black. I don't blame em.
Noticed at the game they were already advertising a white out for the Texas game in January, I bet that will turn out much better.
there was 0 chance that the game was 93% full60% Bro what are you talking about?

Every where I looked there were empty seats, the row where my season tickets are was completely empty. The row I moved to at half time had 2 people in it. Its a lot easier to see how empty the place is from the upper deck high up...There is also 0 chance it was 60% full.
It is too bad that people can't wear the color of their section and get crazy. I guess it is like walking and chewing gum.'Come on into Hilton and get crazy' would be a better message.
Only 11 bucks...no free pizza either.Maybe it’s the $12 walking tacos.
I just want to say where is the school spirit when people are trying to leave during the school song while the flag is being run around? And, while we're complaining, the guy running the flag around the upper level of Hilton was barely jogging! Damn it, man! I want to see them sprinting! Where's the school spirit?!? Not awesome unless there's a bit of danger seeing someone trip and fall from the upper level!
That's an age old tradition where the old people leave at the final media timeout to beat the traffic, even if it's a close game.I just want to say where is the school spirit when people are trying to leave during the school song while the flag is being run around?
People need to relax about the Cyclone alley bleachers. The old bleachers were shot and they were at the mercy of what was available to be installed. The old bleacher's had those crappy bolted down seats, the AD wanted more of a permanent bench type seat.

They do the same damn thing at football games and it just infuriates me.That's why removing the inner concourse/expanding the outer concourse/redoing the balcony stairways are on my lottery list. If you're gonna leave, leave. Don't half-ass it and hang out watching from the concourse for the last 5 minutes of the game. You're not getting to your car any faster than the 1,500 other people doing the exact same thing.
They are literally back 3 ft compared to the old set up.The bleachers are fine. It's that they are much farther away from the court and behind a crappy black fence. It's bizarre to see. Are most student sections gated? They just feel so separated from the action.
