Atmosphere…horrible

by who? The Big 12? Almost every other Big 12 school and many other major schools have their student sections directly behind the visiting team and there's haven't been moved.

Our student section maybe storms a field once every 2-3 years and that was the reasoning behind the move? Absolute bs
Appears to be an absolutely horrible move to move the students

This. ISU football is a trash product from an entertainment perspective, even if we win it’ll be ugly, frustrating and unexciting so what do you expect.
I don't care about the football game being exciting. We are going to be a defensive dominate team and will win a lot of games. Winning is exciting wether the score is 44-41 or 12-7. As long as ISU wins.

Agreed. If Jamie can make The Bridge and CyTown happen, he can sure as heck get the students back where they belong.

So another year, same ol crap!!
1. Two weeks in a row and we can coordinate the fly over with the end of the National Anthem.
2. Nothing against the Bells of Iowa State but that tune brings the crowd down. Need to play that right away and get it out of the way.
3. Need to find new music to get fans in the stand off their butts! Yesterday was far from electric! When the crowd needed to get into it we wouldn’t.
4. Our big go to is the headset cam and the Buff City flex for the camera… Really! Half the people didn’t even realize they were on camera!
5. And finally, the one song that gets people up and into the game, Juicy Wiggle, and they play it with 2 minutes left in the game. The person in charge doesn’t know anything about creating an electric atmosphere.

I understand bills need to be paid but let’s get some energy in our crowd. And it starts with the person in charge of selecting the audio. I watched several games last night and you could hear the crowd getting into the game. If you think our stadium is electric, go to Virgian Tech, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Penn St. even K-State! You will see a vast difference. We need to rethink our current practice and get some energy at Jack Trice Stadium !!!
Where’s ‘Virgian Tech’?

Yep, that’s exactly right, we should chase Matt Campbell off and get Kirby Smart on the phone. I hear he’s looking for a reason to jump ship to Ames.

People here are sounding more like Nebraska fans by the day.
I’m more worried about driving Heacock off because our offense constantly puts the Defense in a bad spot. Imagine his D at a school with even a mediocre offense. CMC could leave tomorrow, if Heacock stayed, we’d at worst be the exact same team. Utah State scored more points than we did against Iowa.

Yes, but losing is a lot more exciting 44-41 than 12-7.

I thought the atmosphere was great. And in a game where the Cyclones really weren’t in the game until the very end, the stadium was still mostly full and got charged up.

However, our pre-game entrance is a cluster. Not sure if that is on the football team not following schedule or the ridiculously long walk from the locker room or what.

My daughter graduated from Ole Miss, and we went to one football game there each year. It's an amazingly different experience. There is a student DJ - in the student section - that controls the music. The student section is rocking, and that is contagious with the rest of the stadium. They have Ole Miss alumni, whether it's NFL players, actors, etc giving video "pep talks" scattered throughout the game on the big screen. fireworks are going off. colored smoke in the student section, etc. If feels like a party - and those media time outs & down times are NOT boring there.

I've long thought that all the other Midwest stadiums I've been at (Iowa & Missouri, in addition to ISU) should send reps down south to see how a football game CAN be made more fun & interactive.

Not sure what is going on with the flyovers, it was bad last week, but yesterday the jets came over in the middle of the anthem. Just overall poor planning and getting everything to work our right.
It's incredibly difficult to time a flyover properly. So many things have to fall in line perfectly. I recall a game many years ago when the band finished the anthem a good 15 seconds before the flyover. Granted the drum major had them hold the last note while hyping the crowd before the planes finally arrived.
