Northwestern? I know they have a wealthy alumni base, but wasn't sure they would open up the check books for the athletics department.
Pretty much one name: Pat Ryan
He might be the future majority owner of the Bears too once Virginia McCaskey dies. He is a minority owner now.
The current stadium could be cool, but it's a total dump. Horrible wait for restrooms and just about everything else.
The new stadium will be cool. Much needed, but the old yard is historic.
Soldier Field will probably be their permanent home and main tenant after Bears would leave?

Wonder if they have the private donations secured for this already? They announced big stadium plans a few years back but never got the money. I can see the same thing happening again when KU starts racking up losses in conference and reality sets back in.

I live near CF and I would rank this near the KU announcement. I'll believe it when I see it. No one around here who cares about UNI likes that AD at all and it's very unlikely that this get's properly funded and if they do, it will get screwed up. It's honestly too bad.

The only time I've been in the Uni Dome was to see The Rolling Stones about 41 years ago
Been there for high school football championships it's a nice place for that. Comfortable but not too big.
