I wouldn't say we can't. That isn't 6M annually. And I think I heard Blum say the richest collectives are pulling in maybe 10M right now? He said something along the lines that we were maybe 15% of that. I'm sure my numbers are wrong, but I think he was implying we have raised over a million. We can grow, especially if this season and MBB season goes well. We have a huge donor base, just a bunch of cheap fans. That can change.

Just to clear things up. The largest collectives have an annual budget of $10M plus. We aren't anywhere near that at the moment. We have grown, but need everyone's help to compete with our peers who are at the $4-6M level, which is where the majority of the Big 12 lives. We don't have a huge marketing budget because we want to use as many resources as possible for the Cyclones, so word of mouth is the single best way to spread the word. Do u really believe they signed an 7 -8 year lease? Maybe that's the value of the trucks, but if the approximate $700/mo. lease is accurate, it is not a $6 million deal. You turn the trucks in at the end of the lease.The total value of Utah's truck deal is $6 million, not $714,000.

I wonder how much of the discrepancy between us and our peer schools is the average fan being cheap vs the lack of big money donors. I'm sure we fall short in both areas, but I'm guessing it's the latter where we really come up short.

If the collective is providing the insurance, then its absolutely on them. Also, think about speeding tickets, parking tickets, etc. This is a great PR move for Utah, but holy **** this could VERY easily blow up in their face.
The sponsor is providing the insurance and the cost of the lease. The collective could say they just brought the two groups together. I am sure that collective ran everything through lawyers to make sure that they have little to no liability. Hope they never have to find out.
Correct, providing the insurance, but being paid for in the $619 payment. They are using a leasing company like Barco, and then running everything under the dealership umbrella. As the dealer principle/owner, i would lose sleep over something like that. Wayyy to much liability
