Not as if this wasn't already known but checked out their message board and wow. Yes, they deserve praise as an 11 time defending champion. But to say that ISU isn't even close to KU after ISU winning 2 out of 3. To not be willing to admit ISU should even be on the same floor with them after winning back to back Big 12 tourneys? I think we all respect KU's basketball program from a historic perspective, but what a bunch of ******. Even one of the newspapers said something like the peasants beat the aristocrats. Maybe I'm not informed on KU joining the ivy league but I don't look at KU being some collection of the 1%. They certainly talk like it on the message boards.

Remember, they've won championships at times in the past. That's why their team this year is better than ISU's, despite going 1-2 against them head to head.

Fixed it for you...

Both fanbases are going to be biased towards which makes them sound better. That is just fact. 2-1 vs them is the key. 1 home, 1 away, and 1 neutral. We won the series this year.

Yeah. Their own fans were saying how poor their attendance was and others were saying they don't go because the tourney means nothing. Just silly. That's why UNC and ND and ISU and UConn fans showed up to their games. They are entitled for good reason and it is almost impossible for them to say congrats and move on. It's like the five year old who gets his toy taken away and says "well I didn't want it anyway."

They're one of the best programs ever historically and have mostly dominated the Big 12 in its history.

However, they're like the rich kid from a rich family who went to Harvard because their parents did, and hates seeing the guy who worked his *** off to get into the same school from a far less prominent family and get about the same or slightly better grades. "10 members of my family went to Harvard!" not realizing it doesn't matter and the only thing that matters is what they're doing in the present. Their parents' grades don't matter at all and have 0 bearing on how they're doing in school right then.

Even if ISU were to win a national chamionship sometime soon, they wouldn't respect us. They cannot get over the fact of the historical record. And I get it - most people who are fans of historical programs like this are the same way. However, what you did in 1988, or 1952 has little bearing on today. The argument for "Well we have been to 20 final fours so we'll win" is pretty ******* pointless if you ask me. The same players, coaches, administration, etc who might have been there in 1988 are not there anymore. Why would that matter in 2015 almost 30 years later when the entire roster wasn't even born back in the comparison year?

The only reason historical stuff matters is to get recruits, but even then it has to be recent, otherwise San Francisco, Loyola Chicago, and UTEP would be successfully using it to their advantage.

I just don't understand why they can omit "regular season" or "shared regular season" from their champion shirts, but we can't omit "tournament" from ours.

I still hear that Iowa basketball is better than ISU because they lead the head-to-head win total. FANS WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP COPE. I'm guessing that KU will be just fine.

Get used to it. Step by step CFH has been closing the gap. We could win the regular season title the next 10 years and they would still be point out that they had one it the previous 11 years.

Let them drown in their tears. Slow, painfully agony is what they deserve.

It would be great if Blue KSU would have a nice long streak of being mediocre (or, even terrible) to bring them back down to earth. Maybe, just maybe, they wouldn't feel so entitled to everything they feel they don't have to earn. Then the question would be: how long does it take before the arrogant actually expect to have to earn what's theirs instead of complaining about having to compete against "lesser" programs to claim it?

Bingo! Mention shared titles and they go ballistic.

I had a ball with the KU fans in P&L yesterday, don't let Internet jerks ruin it for you.
