Arnaud vs. Stanzi

Re: Why do Hawk fans get offended

when someone points out one of their players is not great when he clearly isn't?

The other quarterback was redshirting and I guess they didn't want to pull it.

If you knew the source, you would care.

BTW I didn't like hearing this. I would much prefer Stanzi to remain at quarterback. I am also not sure how saying Iowa has a better quarterback that will likely replace Stanzi is a bad thing for Hawk fans.

I'd say it's a normal thing for Hawk fans:wideeyed:

Iowa doesn't have to have a great QB to be successful, therefore Stanzi doesn't have to be great. As long as Iowa wins games, Stanzi can be as "bad" as he wants.

Doubt it, unless your source is Ken O'Keefe, and we all know how likely that is.

That's not a good argument. You won games so your player is better. Yeah, that makes sense.

Brad Banks anyone, same argument then. As I said before, anyone who knows anything about football knew Banks couldn't hold Seneca's jock when it comes to playing the position. Same goes for Stanzi.

Stanzi couldn't run ISU's offense. Arnaud would be shooting layups in Iowa's offense.

How many games did Stanzi actually win for Iowa? I'll say zero. I'll say the defense and running game was the reason for their success. Of course, it never ceases to amaze me how many Iowa fans don't understand why Iowa is successful.

It certainly isn't a system that is dependent on having a great or even good quarterback.

Well it wasn't Ken, but you are really warm. :)I guess the source is clueless too. Man I would like to have his job and be clueless. LOL

Anybody knows Banks couldn't hold Seneca's jock? The Heisman voters would disagree.

Stanzi won the Penn State game. You know, he lead a comeback against the #3 team in the country. How many games did Arnaud win for ISU?

Of course every NFL scout laughed at the Heisman voters. LOLOL Did you really say heisman voters? LOL

Actually I thought Iowa's defense won the Penn State game. Again, another Hawk fan who doesn't know his own team.

If you've got a source that high up in the coaching staff, maybe you should just spill it. Nobody would believe you, but you are hiding behind a keyboard and are therefore anonymous. Let's have it.

Iowa's defense was on the field for the Stanzi-led, game winning drive?

Stanzi was on the field for the field goal? This is too easy.

Without Iowa's defense, Iowa has no shot in that game. Stanzi certainly wasn't going to light it up and carry them in any game.

Something tells me you're one of those guys who dropped out of school your sophomore year to spend time working on your meth addiction.

Speaking of too easy...who got the team in the position to kick that field goal?

A fair point, and not one lost on Iowa's fans, as the defense was nails that day - but with Jake under center, Iowa doesn't win that game either.

And, as usual, your intuition couldn't be more off. Ironic that it mirrors your understanding of Iowa's team.

Because we all know that the foremost experts on Iowa Hawkeye football are found right here on Cyclone Fanatic, aren't they? Please, keep preaching, and tell us more about how Iowa and it's QB sucks.

My goodness, you guys are arrogant

I basically said that someone who should know said Iowa has a redshirt freshman who was the best quarterback in practice. This should be good news to you, but all you can focus on is that a Cyclone dared to say Arnaud is a much better quarterback than Stanzi.

What's funny, is there is no doubt Arnaud is a much better quarterback than Stanzi.

Your argument would be like me saying Iowa's safety is not as good as ISU's even though anyone who knows football could see ISU was terrible at safety and Iowa was pretty good at that spot.

Yeah, keep informing us posters on cyclone fanatic about Iowa and the great big ten. Oh wait, let me rephrase that after another disappointing bowl season. "the weak big ten"
