Arnaud gets the nod

Fixed that for ya. :mask: What, ya didn't think it worked both ways?

Do you think that a defence will be fooled if they throw to Arnaud. Arnaud is not known as a WR, if we throw the screen to him the de will know that another throw is coming. In your case, it would be better if Arnaud ran with it.

They're alternatiing snaps, not series?

So then, Phillip gets the reBates?

:biglaugh::biggrin::biglaugh:

Friday night--just my night to play dumb.

NO I think that is referred to as the "Bates and Switch play"!:mask:

If this is the case, I certainly hope we find some way to get Bates into the game. He's way too gifted to be holding a clipboard.

Bates isn't "known as a wr" based on one play. Everyone knows he's the other quarterback, it's been platered all over the media for the last six months.

'sides, for anyone who watched tape from last year, that jersey #7 would be a dead giveaway that it's a qb out there.

I'm still looking forward to seeing both of them. Arnates indeed.

If we gotta go to the trickery to beat SDSU....we've got issues.

We did get killed by a 1-AA team less than one year ago. Most of the players are the same kids who were in that game. I'll take a win any way we get it!

Except anytime Bates is on the field in a WR role SDSU will expect a trick play. It would be good to use him as a decoy then pull off the double pass.
Ah, but that could be just what SDSU is expecting, Bates as a decoy. I say we line up Bates at receiver, lateral it to him, then lateral it back to say, a tight end, and then chuck it to RJ. They'll never expect that!

If our OL can protect for the entire length of that play, then I'd say we'll have no problem winning 8 games this year!

I don't to I told you so ,but 2 weeks ago, I predicted both qb's playing into the season if they they couldn't separate themselves. I think it the only way to keep them both motivated and on the team. I would still love to see Bates out wide and running reverses and passes off reverses.

I think both will play a lot together longer as both bring different things to the table. AA certainly needs to improve his scramble ability. What happens when Oklahoma puts the big rush on? This year may be a dual qb year despite what most people want.

Did you not see his running ability against KSU? I am fine with whoever is the main guy this year as long as it's best for the team and I think Chizik is giving us that in every position. Don't go knocking the starting QB before he hits the turf. And sorry, this isn't solely directed at you, but I've seen a lot of remarks to the affect that Arnaud isn't the right choice. Clearly for now, according to Chizik he is.

I hate when people say "If you have two QB's you don't have any..." But even though I hate it doesn't mean it isn't true...Chiz is a straight forward kinda guy I feel like and really hope both these guys can play but guess we will find out in a couple days...

I hope we "solve" this QB thing not to long after the SDSU game cause I don't like the 2 qb's going into the big 12's...

I totally disagree. There are plenty of very successful schools that use multiple QBs because they have many talented players. Just look at Florida a couple of years ago...they used both Chris Leak and Tim Tebow and they won a National Championship. LSU (last year's National Champion) used two QBs quite a bit. Heck, for the last couple of years Arkansas used Darren McFadden at QB in a single wing type of offense which made teams have to prepare for another look. It's all about getting your best players on the field and putting them in positions to make plays...really pretty simple.
