Are you a coffee snob?

Made at home:

And Starbucks when I'm on the road.

This one is also very good:

I think the K-Pod brewing system is one of the greatest inventions of the past 50 years. Totally cereal.

I am. Can't stand convenience store coffee, most hotel coffee, most restaurant coffee. I'd much rather do without.

I am a Starbucks dark roast fan and I've been pleasantly surprised with a lot of bold coffees run through the Keurig brewer. That's been the only way I've found to make good coffee at home besides using an espresso pot and the Keurig is more convenient. I usually only have one cup and nobody else in the house drinks it.

About 3 years ago, my company switched from providing Starbucks as the "house" coffee to whatever crap Aramark provides. A group of about 6 of us promptly started buying the Kirkland brand from Costco, which is actually from Starbucks anyway. Now we've talked our director into expensing it for the department, so it's just like old times.

IMO, the coarseness of the grind makes the biggest difference in flavor. You can load up as much ground crap as you want in your coffee maker, but it's just going to taste like really strong crap if you do. But I'll bet if you take that Folgers and grind it up a little finer, it will taste a whole lot better.

I like coffee flavored things, and I like iced coffee, but I can't drink coffee, unless I put a ton of **** in it to make it unrecognizable as coffee.

You are sounding more and more like a woman every day.

And I thought I knew you.
What I meant to say was I drink coffee all the time, and beer, and then sometimes I mix them and drink it while smoking a cigar and riding a bald eagle.

If by coffee snob, you mean "don't like ******, weak coffee," well, then, yes I am.

Usually french press a Starbucks or Peets dark roast at home. Also, like to make cold filtered brew once in a while, it give a different taste and very smooth. It is also great for cold coffee and makes awesome white Russians.

I like some of the Keurig stuff, but am afraid to put one of their machines in my house. I am afraid that my consumption would go through the roof.... Its just way too convenient.

For anyone in Omaha or the area.
I never used to like coffee but started to try local roasted beans at grocery stores and liked it. Tried Pears coffee here in Omaha then moved to Whole Foods which I thought was awesome.
Then tried Hill of Beans in Omaha. Nothing else comes close. It's easily the best in Omaha. Not a traditional coffee shop though with seats, wifi, etc. But they get excellent and different beans, know how to roast, and are very knowledgeable.
I'm a complete snob now because of them.
It even converted my wife from only liking super weak coffee.

^My current favorite. Tastes just like a nuttier medium roast coffee.

When I was recently at yellowstone I bought the most amazing coffee... and I think it was the one pictured above. Will definitely buy again when I go back in a few weeks.

I like all coffees, but Starbucks Pike Place Roast is the only one I'll drive out of the way to get. I love that stuff so much.
