Lot of folks on this site like to kick a man when he is down rather than work to build them back up. Glad Matt could throw a subtle FU in their direction.

They are good when he only take 2-3 shots. He doesn't get the volume of shots as Naz or BDJ do, so he will never score that consistently. If he got starters minutes he would probably be average around 12-13 points per game, so that's pretty good.
Bit of a stretch there. Today was his breakout.
I would take 7 ppg from a guy playing around 12-15 minutes/game
I've been very critical of Matt's game (not necessarily on CF) but it sort of dawned on me during the game when they mentioned that he is a sophomore how spoiled I am at the talent level of new faces (since they've transferred from other D1 programs in many cases). Impatience on my part. But if Matt needs haters to elevate his game well then; You suck Matt!
Nice to see him step up considering Nader was ice cold. Would love to seem him really bring it on here. Timing couldn't be better. Could be the difference between getting bounced in the sweet sixteen and advancing to the elite eight (I'll stop there, don't want to get ahead of myself).
I hate a certain type of fan. Alot on here behave just like tavern hawks. I shouldn't take it so personally though so that is my problem.
well, coming off the bench, it's not bad. He wasn't going 0-fer and turning the ball over. I just think he's been playing better the last seven days and wanted to admit I'm wrong. I'm not saying he's Larry Bird or anything.

Man, y'all need to calm down. He had the best shooting game of his career. I can understand some of the frustration with him even though I think it's clear expectations were wayyy too high for him when he started his career. He's better than 5 points per game but at the same time it's hard for him to score 8-12 ppg when he's only playing 15 minutes a night. I think this is huge if he can keep this up... not necessarily keep up 17 points per game, but if he's able to score double digits he's another big time weapon come March.
I never posted anything regarding Matt, but privately I wondered if he would transfer because of what we have coming back and coming in next year.
If MT can keep up this production, it will take this team to another level; like another conf tourney win and a deep, deep dance run. Keep it up Matt and my apologies.
