Anyone else scared for today?

I am. I keep telling myself to stop reading all these threads that make me that much more nervous. All I can say is GO CYCLONES!

Someone started a thread the other day about this gym at Dayton being a shooters gym. That seemed to be true the other night. If that holds true today we will be fine.

I'm not really that nervous. We are the big underdog, so there's really not that much to be nervous about IMO.

However, I don't want to see us get beat by 15 or more points. Anything less than 15 pts I would consider a competitive game for the most part. I don't want to see us lose by 30 and have everyone say that we were just pretenders. That's really the only thing I'm nervous about.

Otherwise, there's really nothing to lose. Leave it all out there! It's a great opportunity.

I've got the dvr set thinking I should just not watch it live, find out if we win and then really enjoy it rather than have 3 - 4 mini heart attacks throughout the game, but I think I'm going to go ahead and watch it live and hope we represent ISU well and leave it at that.

Any other #1 or #2 seed sans UL would have been better.
I just do not see where these comments are coming from suggesting anything has been set-up or we have anything other than a tough a path as anyone. We play the #2 seed built to take away our strength less than 2-hours away from their campus, and then would face perhaps the most talented team in region in Arizona. Ole Miss got a good draw. SDSU got a good draw. Baylor having two Elite runs built on playing #14, #11, and #10 is getting fortunate. The only way we got a break is by being in the region with the worst #1 seed, but as the #10 seed that only comes into play if you reach the Elite Eight.

That said, I like our chances. We are 7 point dogs, but OSU is not a big scorer. The game should remain tight for the duration. Just want to play a good game and let things fall in place. I would be more concerned if we were big and slow than if smaller and fast.

I'm scared we exhausted all our energy and played our absolute best game against ND on Friday that I wish we could have saved some of that magic for today. It's setting up very well with the #1 & 3 teams in our bracket to get to the final 4. I just have this feeling of getting kicked in the stones again and today's winner will win the region. Much like MSU/ISU again in 2000. Hope I'm wrong

I'm not as concerned about the energy-expense as much as being able to put together the wall-to-wall solid game twice in a row.

It feels like we may see a good start, but won't be able to sustain it into the second half. Who knows, maybe that will be due to some long-term fatigue.

I don't get why you guys wouldn't want to watch the game live? Enjoy it while it's here, this could be the last time ISU plays for a long time. It's not something to be scared of, enjoy it.

Honestly, our guys did not look at all fatigued versus Notre Dame after the game. That's one of the last things I'm worried for. Even if they were, these are young, very athletic guys. It's not like a guy who's 45 years old and barely works out, and is out of commission for three days after just one 40 minute workout.

These guys have been running up and down the court, doing this **** all their lives. Notre Dame was slow so I am certain our players weren't even working/running their hardest for most of the game.

Agree 100%. Why not watch it live? Not the same watching a recording.

Yeah...Im not sure why anyone would think ISU is tired....

Scared? Not really, ISU is a 10 seed playing on a basic home court against the number 7 team in the country. IF they win they have played a great game in a very difficult situation. IF they loose it was a good season that could have been great.

I also agree 100%. I do DVR the games I can't watch live, but I make sure not to catch the results prior to watching the game. One of the best parts of watching the game is the suspense of the outcome.
