Anyone else scared for today?

Not scared at all. Not when KL, Will, Babb, McGee, and Booker all know that not playing their best may mean they are playing their last college game. I think we may see even more effort from them today than we have ever seen. At least I am hoping.

I think we lose by 10-15 points. Like last year we have a team with the ability to make the Sweet 16/EE, but will play a team it does not match-up well with as a "road game" in the 2nd round.

Last year we got a bad draw but this year I'm not sure we could have a got a better one for what our seed was. Play better in the regular season and we wouldn't be playing a team like Ohio state in the third round.

A lot of people are over looking Arizona, they have crazy talent. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the final 4 at all.

I'm not scared of losing, but I'm nervous that the same team we saw on Friday won't show up.

I'm scared we exhausted all our energy and played our absolute best game against ND on Friday that I wish we could have saved some of that magic for today. It's setting up very well with the #1 & 3 teams in our bracket to get to the final 4. I just have this feeling of getting kicked in the stones again and today's winner will win the region. Much like MSU/ISU again in 2000. Hope I'm wrong

Im not sure why your scared. We have an excellent opportunity in front of us. Win and we have pretty decent shot at a final 4 but losing to Ohio state isn't anything a team should hang there head about. We're playing with house money in this game just relax and enjoy it!

I think today we come out with the most intensity and poise that we've had all season and give them a game. Fred said in his post game locker-room speech to the team that if they played like that in every game here on out, they'd be cutting down the nets in Atlanta. Honestly, I don't think Fred says that if he doesn't believe it.

This is the BIG DANCE! These guys are going to make sure by the time this season is over that they avenge the 'losses' to KU and make the nation take note that Iowa State isn't just a mid-tier big 6 conference team anymore.

I look at it as another big opportunity...he have had one this year against KU in KC and although it didn't go well at least we got another shot at them, today presents another one, play loose and Korie we need a monster game out of you today, best as a Cyclone!

Scared? No. Excited? Yes.

Even if we lose today, our season will be considered a success. If OSU loses, it might not be considered that successful because they won the Big 10. It's all about expectations and that's why upsets occur. Take FGCU vs. Georgetown. I think 23% of people on ESPN.com had Gtown in their Final 4. FGCU just had fun out there...they had nothing to lose and Georgetown had everything to lose.

We are playing with house money. One of the things in life that will do you more harm than good sometimes is "trying too hard" and hopefully our players don't try so hard that it does them more harm than good.

I feel like that going into any big game. that's called being an ISU fan. history has told you to beware of the kick to the nuts, because more often than not, it's coming.

that being said I hope like hell we can pull the upset.

Exactly!

Not scared, I am excited. I expect ISU to lose, but still believe if they play perfect, they could shock the world.

Nervous - Yes, Scared? - No Way.

This is where we should expect to be. On the big stage participating in important post season games. No more hoping to get an easy path to win a game or two. This is the only way to gain respect.

I suspect the team knows that this is a huge opportunity and one that does not come along very often. Would be crazy to predict a win but we should expect that they will play their best game and that we have as good as shot as anyone to win today.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind if this game goes 5 OT's and everyone is collapsed on the floor at the end. This is exactly what ISU basketball should be about and it should last forever!

Scared is the wrong word because ISU isn't "supposed" to win. If the Cyclones lose today, 2012-2013 will still be considered a successful season. We are playing with house money now and it will be fun to watch.

I agree with this, too. I, I, I don't know what I think!

Last year we got a bad draw but this year I'm not sure we could have a got a better one for what our seed was. Play better in the regular season and we wouldn't be playing a team like Ohio state in the third round.
Any other #1 or #2 seed sans UL would have been better.
I just do not see where these comments are coming from suggesting anything has been set-up or we have anything other than a tough a path as anyone. We play the #2 seed built to take away our strength less than 2-hours away from their campus, and then would face perhaps the most talented team in region in Arizona. Ole Miss got a good draw. SDSU got a good draw. Baylor having two Elite runs built on playing #14, #11, and #10 is getting fortunate. The only way we got a break is by being in the region with the worst #1 seed, but as the #10 seed that only comes into play if you reach the Elite Eight.

Maybe its just me, but I think ISU matches up better with tOSU then it did ND.

For most the season,I thought OSU was the most overrated team in the Country; however, they are hot as hell right now. Their defense scares me, their offense does not. ISU has faced defenses similar to what they will see today from tOSU, such as Kansas, and had no problem scoring on them.

In a region where the 1, 3, 4, and 5 seeds are all gone, its time to remove the 2-seed.

the only thing I am scared about is getting blown out. I just want the final score to be closer than the iowa OSU game.

Maybe a little nervous. But I can live with playing for the sweet 16 type of "nervous". Beats the "hope we can beat Nebraska and Colorado so we don't finish last" type of nervous.
