Another Player Only Meeting...

That's yet to be seen. If we finish the regular season 3-2, lose in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, and lose early in the NCAA Tournament, it will definitely be seen as a train wreck season after starting the season ranked in the Top 10.

That top 10 preseason ranking included Naz Long.

You gotta figure in the 4-5 games we lost where we've had a last shot to win Naz would have at least gotten us a couple. Not to mention the depth and defense he would have have added if healthy.

Don't half of them live together and have played together for years? This is not news....

Naz called this meeting because he is planning on coming back this season. That's why tears were shed. Look for him back on the floor come Saturday.

i think i can see and hear frustration on niang's face and tone, that everything they do is in the media. the whole thing can be very overwhelming esp to a college student.

This needs to be followed up with an open letter. Someone needs to write it and send to Randy Peterson so it can be published in tomorrow's Register.

These can be good, but the effect can wear off like a coach that yells all the time.

Saturday is probably a good game to make some good changes...let's just see if it's consistent through next week.

Agreed about the narrative that Naz makes a difference...even when he was injured he was still a viable threat, and with even just a bit of production and his defensive effort, some of these close games probably aren't that close.

I wish this were true to an extent. If he was legit 100% and practicing every day and it was known inside the walls that Morris wasn't coming back...if I were Naz and I had a say, I would join the team for this final stretch run. Next year would be vastly different and no postseason is guaranteed.

My feeling too. No way I could watch my brothers struggling and not come back.

That would be incredibly pointless and a massive waste of his potential.

From one of the newspaper articles it just seemed like some plays at the end were calling for it to be in Niang's hands and that it wasn't happening and my thought is there are some who want to be the hero (Morris). I am probably way off base but it is either a little of that or they aren't buying in to what Prohm is telling them what to do. 3rd meeting will right the ship.
