Looking at a few different options for childcare in Ankeny (a lot of it is due to location and where we might move to within town at some point). Anyways - curious if anyone has experience with My Learning Safari or 2 4 U Daycare?

I'm not looking to really promote or bash any place of business publicly, so please just send me a PM if you want to pass along any thoughts.

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm....what we're currently paying right now is just over 400/week for 2 kids. There is a reason we don't want a 3rd kid until the 1st is in kindergarten!

that's in-home. the center we liked didn't have windows in the rooms and that freaked us out. not sure how that passed code but we didn't choose it.

my learning safari is pretty new so there's not much to go off of there. When we moved to Ankeny we put our girls in an in home and decided that wasn't the greatest for us so ended up taking them to Creative Kids and were happy with that. The only problem is they take 2 years and up so if you have a newborn -2 yr old you're out of luck with that. We ended up having a third kid and now started taking him to little endeavors and are happy with that. We did look into My learning safari and weren't necessarily sold on them since it was brand new (and still is) and also looked at 2 4 U and their hours/snow days aren't as flexible as other day-cares so decided against them. If you want to know more, PM me and we can go into detail.

We live about 2 blocks away from My Learning Safari and our neighbors take their daughter there and love it. No idea on the cost though.

Most of the centers in Ankeny are about $185 to $230 per week. The average seems to be around the $210 mark. The more kids the better break you get. Looking forward to school starting.

We pay around $190 @ little en devours for our 3vyr old. It was like 220 for a baby. Crazy to think there are a few up north about $50 more a week.
But she learns so much, and experiences more. I'd never do in home care.

Really glad we found our in home day care in Ankeny. She is wonderful! 150 a week and only a few blocks from where we live

2 for U. Owned and run by 2 sisters and their mother. They have a WDM location as well. They are outstanding people.

I really don't know how people with kids afford it.

It's insane. My wife and I aren't rich, but we live comfortable and have good jobs and we're basically going to break even for the next few years.
