Android App Out Today

Hey guys....keep the comments coming and don't hold back. We will monitor this and your feedback will help shape the updates. Thread posting is already in the works for a future update and we know it is a much needed feature. Taking notes on the other requests as well but we know forums are a priority.

Don't like the drop-down for paging in forums. Seems pretty snappy and like the layout but I still want to know why you need phone state and identity.

I like that it seems to load pretty fast - and it's quick access to the forums. Just a little hard to navigate, and the buttons/links at the top seem pretty small

why does this app need phone state and identity permission ?

It is a requirement of the ad provider. They need it to guard against click fraud and to accurately report number of unique users etc. to their clients.

Regarding the login questions:
If you enter your login once, it will be saved when you open the post form for other threads. You should never have to enter it more than once unless you uninstall the app or change your password. The interface for this will get better as we add more features to the forum. Right now, thread posting is the only thing that required being logged in so we just show it there.

If anyone has other questions or suggestions, keep posting them. Our development is largely driven by user feedback.

I will say that improving forums is high on our list of things to do and we hope to have updates to address that very soon. For now, only viewing and replying to existing threads is possible. Posting new threads, quoting when replying, and better tools for moving around large threads are high on the priority list in that section but we don't have an ETA just yet.

Josh.

This would be low on the list, as stated before better navigation in bigger threads would be awesome, but wallpapers that are formatted to fit your phone. Only have been able to find one that fits, happy with it but more choices would be great.

podcast link doesn't seem to be working. is there a way to listen to it on the app instead of going through the browser?

Am I the only one that has the issue of the app just closing at random. It isnt force closing, just jumps to my home screen, and I have to reopen it.

I'm also having the cyclones.com app force close every time I try opening an article, so maybe it is just me!
