Got 5 sitting in my in-law’s fridge when we go back for Xmas. Hope they have more to buy in the next town over. That and a nice bottle of whisky should get me through, right?

They really need a 12 pack or more. I like the beer but kind of getting tired of paying $13 for 6 beers. I can get 12 Busch’s for that.
When is the last time you bought a beer in a bar and what did you pay for that? Ames Lager is way closer to a Blue Moon type beer than Busch Lite.
Most craft beers at the brewery run between 5-8 bucks a beer.
Tbh I don’t drink out much unless there’s deals. I went to El Azteca and order a regular sized Margarita with my diner. My bill was almost $30 before tip. I drink at home.
I guess we will just agree to disagree $2 a can to support the collective doesn't seem out of line to me.
My dude you couldn’t be more wrong. Blue Moon is an ale. Ames Lager is well, a lager, just like Busch Light.
I wasn't talking style of beer I was talking price points, but you are right I didn't clarify that.
For everyone asking about availability and package type. Be patient with West O. The response to Ames Lager has been incredible and it isn’t a one or two step process to go from the amount they initially produced to what the demand looks like. By the time football season rolls around next fall it will be everywhere you want it to be.
Scaling up to package 12 packs and cases is also a extra expense that I'm guessing WestO isn't quite ready to take on yet.
The point is more to support the collective so that ISU can keep these players around
The West HyVee in town has had it every time I've stopped in, the last few months. North end of the alcohol store, near the east side coolers, on a floor "display" (i.e. stacked flats)
So.....@brentblum Doll distributing is the one that is distributing it? That a very large AB distributor, now I wonder why places had told me that no West O rep had stopped in.
I’m guessing West O has one rep for the entire state based out of Boji. Breweries of that size, especially in a rural area, sign with a distributor because they don’t have the money or logistical ability to cover more than one territory. Doll distributing has a large full time craft-centric sales team of probably 1-2 per territory covering the state.
Can confirm. I was there this afternoon and they had four cases.

@brentblum with it being in Nebraska/out of state, does that mean I could get it here in KC soon!? Imagine the Ames Lager flowing at Power & Light for the Big12 tournament. Or preferably at a nearby liquor store/Hy-Vee in Overland Park before that!
