Love that. I actually don't live far from there at all so I'm heading to pick it up here soon
I'll definitely buy some (a lot), but $26 for two six packs of cans is pretty pricey.
I checked West Des Moines Hyvee's Wall to Wall Wine and Spirits today. Talked to the GM, they put it out yesterday and they got yelled at for putting it out before the release date. So they put all of it back into the warehouse fyi
Fareway, in Ames at least, is waiting until tomorrow to start selling it.
Very good beer. Light and crisp. Will be easy to crush a million in the lots at JTS.

Same. We mocked Hok fans contributing $50,000 worth as a result of The Swarm to The Swarm. But at $13.00 a 6 pack are we really visualizing the tailgate lot to be littered with Ames Lager cans?
Granted, I will buy it and drink it, but to say I'm filling the fridge with it from top to bottom or inviting guest over and providing it for them to drink their fill might be a tad bit of homerism.
Grimes Hy-Vee has it at $11.99/sixer. They also have Legend at $12.99/sixer and clonefest at $19.99/twelve pack.
They also took $8 off with their craft beer punch card as I bought 6 total 6 packs. They did say some stores only take up to $5 off, and some stores don't count 12 packs as 2.

$12 for a six pack of craft beer is not that crazy. But maybe I'm used to the prices more than others.
I'd take bud light over bud heavy any day.

It's just a Hy-Vee Liquor promotion. You get a punch card and get a punch for every 4/6 pack of craft beer or growler fill you get at Hy-Vee. After 6 purchases you get the 7th half off. The card says the max discount is $5, but sounds like some may be more generous. Ask about it next time you're in a Hy-Vee Liquor.
Yes, each store is separate with possibly different terms (some don't have it at all). They have them at the Wine & Spirits counter at the Grimes store. Whenever you buy a 6 pack of craft beer, they'll give you a stamp - once you've purchased six 6 packs, you get half off your next six pack (up to a total of $8 off for Grimes). I believe only the Wine & Spirits registers have the stamp - when there for a bunch of groceries I've had them stamp it there then finish my shopping/check out up front.
I thought they only gave you 1 stamp per purchase, but he gave me 6 stamps today & let me use the discount on this purchase. He also took the 50% off of my highest price purchase, which happened to be a 12 pack.
Yeah that's pretty dang reasonable. Plus part of it is getting donated to the collective. Not sure what people were expecting.
