Amazon Prime Day

That's pretty cool! Can you link that specific one?
Not sure, every time I try to post it auto converts to a generic amazon ad...here is a back door through reddit , it's an Axiom basket, only certain colors are discounted.

Snagged a Fire TV 4K stick for $25 to replace my second generation stick on my main TV. They supposedly stream a lot smoother.
This may be a hella dumb question but do you need a 4K TV to get the improvement? Otherwise there is a 4K Fire TV Stick available for $25 right now too and I could use the upgrade.

You'd need a 4K TV to get a 4K picture, but the 4K Fire stick has a faster processor and a little more memory (not storage) so it probably runs a bit snappier even if you're only outputting 1080p.

Preordered a Turbografx-16 /PC Engine for $99. Best thing on Amazon today, and they are the sole supplier doing preorders.

I will say I'm always curiously fascinated by the $30 Kindle Fire 7" color tablet vs the $400 similar size Ipad Mini. They really aren't that far off each other and I've owned probably nine or ten Apple computers. I use an iPad pro to draw on in creative meetings but it's not like the Mini would work well for that, as a streaming video/web browser which is what the iPad Mini is the Fire does its job almost as well.

iPad's don't have ads on the lock screen. The two I ordered several Black Friday's ago have ads on the screen. I was under the impression I could remove them, but Amazon closed that loophole.

Hmm, I never realized that but partly explains why they're almost free.

I've had Kindle ebook readers for years and they seem to be the greatest reading device in history so I assumed their color tablets were great products too.

Still have to imagine $30 for a kids youtube/netflix tablet is a crazy deal compared to $400 for an iPad Mini even with the ads.

Fire tablets are the **** for kids. Don’t waste money on the “kids edition” though.

I'm on the fence with that but a Turbo nerd myself too. It will be awesome to hook it up to a nice TV with hopefully great picture...the games list is a mixed bag. Definitely could be worse but could also be a lot better. We'll see how easy it is to hack an how much extra storage space it has, the CD games take up a ton of space.

If I was ranking the game list on these minis it would be...

1. Genesis Mini (still kind of floored at how great their choices were)
2. NES mini (almost as good, but only 30)
3. SNES mini (pretty good just over 20 games)
4. Turbo/PCE mini (some amazing titles but some that absolutely nobody wanted and frustrating they teased with a few epic games and left off others).

5. PS mini, basically a way to play 2 or 3 games I'd want in this mini format

Oh man, that's enticing. I haven't played a lot of of my NES or SNES classic games yet but they are fun.

Just saw the the rotating ISU mini helmet (Hover Helmets) is a prime deal and they knocked off $20. Always been intrigued by it in the past so I decided to take advantage of the discount and pick one up. It's something I can display in the office in front of an office full of disgruntled Hawg football fans.

Does anyone on here have a Ring doorbell/security system? Kinda had an eye on it but the poor reviews have me hesitant.

Aren't a lot of the reviews that are poor people worried about Chinese spying

Are the amazon Fire HD 8 tablets any good? I was thinking of picking up a couple for my kids since they are cheaper but have seen numerous reviews of them taking forever to load and also some kind of issues with defects that the tablets have to be replaced. Anyone have these that could provide info?
