Alternate Uniforms

Lost in the Lazard news, Hoiberg said tonight on his call in show that ISU is in the experimental phase of a gray alternate basketball jersey.

Hoiberg just said on his radio show there is a gray alternate jersey being kicked around in R&D. #Cyclones

If they're talking about "experimental phase" and "R&D", it makes you wonder, if we end up using them this year, if it ends up being a preview of what our permanent uniforms will be in the upcoming years. There's no way Nike is going to do "R&D" on a uniform set that's 5+ years old.

Where's our resident uniform mock up guru? He's made a football jersey pic for every color under the rainbow, sure he can handle this.

Here's a professional mock-up

I have water all over me and my computer now. thanks for that. great work

This is stupid. Gray is not one of our school colors--we are cardinal and gold, have some pride in it, and white is a neutral background and accent color that everybody uses.

These are work clothes. We should be ashamed to candy them up like this.

I think grey might be cool with the right lettering. The worst uniforms I've seen this year are the Notre Dame uniforms during the Kentucky game. Green lettering on black. You couldn't even read the lettering. I thought they looked dumb.

I don't know about you, sigmapukeboy, but I like to look like a total badass when I work. Candy these babies up, I say.

Like it or not, new look uniforms catch the eyes of recruits. Why do you think teams are changing their uniforms every few years? It's because the old style has passed and they want to keep up with everyone else. The new uniform trend now seems to be get as many alternate jerseys as possible and hope a recruit likes at least one of them.
