He had a couple of monster dunks last night and blocked a few shots, but he spent most of the game complaining to the officials. The guy he was guarding schooled him from the outside.

The arena was small and there were only about 2,000 people there but damn was it fun. My step-sons are huge basketball fans and had never been to a pro game before so this was an amazing experience for them. And my friend Chris had a solid game. He came over and took pics with the kids after the game.
A coworker of mine has a step son who was born here but is half Filipino. He was lightly recruited coming out of high school so he decided to go to school in the Philippines. He could play for his school and then in the off season play professionally in a Filipino pro league. He loved it and just might never come back to the US. They love their basketball there.

Does he still play in the Philippines?... We are taking the kids to another game in a few days because they loved it so much.

My friend played at a small college in New Mexico for a few years and then transferred to Manila for his final year. Since then he has played for the same pro team (Meralco Bolts) for over a decade. He is a star in the PBA and one of the most popular players in the country. He has made a good life for himself here. Pretty cool.

I'm not sure. I haven't talked to that coworker since he took an early retirement.
