Aliens are real.
Billions of stars, mega billions of planets orbiting those stars...IMO, it's hubris to think that we are the only intelligent life in the universe. They're out there...and someday we'll connect with them.
So are you saying that the existence of extraterrestrial beings is a more certain thing than Cameron Lard making it to ISU? Because that's what I'm hearing from you right now.Aliens are real.
The important question, is if Chris is abducted by aliens, does it count as vacation?Aliens are real.
Is it true that standard AM broadcasts would for all practical purposes fail to exit our ionosphere? If so wouldn't we really have only been blasting out into space for about the last 70 or so years? The problem is the time involved for transmitting the signals. So the Star is 95 light years away. Not far at all if I remember correctly but would take 95 years to send a signal and presumably another 95 years to get a reply. If they choose to do such a thing. It also means that the earliest radio waves would be making it near this planet.

I think it'd be very cool just to have confirmation of an intelligent communication, even without communication back.
Iono what you're talking about. Is it true that standard AM broadcasts would for all practical purposes fail to exit our ionosphere? If so wouldn't we really have only been blasting out into space for about the last 70 or so years?
Only furthers my point. I knew someone would correct my numbers - I was too lazy to be precise.Almost. There are about 100 billion stars in our galaxy. We are one of about 10 trillion galaxies. I don't even know if we have a word to describe that number of stars in the galaxy. Maybe a gagillion bazillion?

The number you're looking for is 42. The answer to life, the universe, and everything.
