AJ Klein

Heard he lost stock because of his haircut and the Panthers only drafted him to make Cyclone fans happy. Hasn't been confirmed, though.

I don't think that it applies to AJ Klein, but cut dates are coming up. Teams have to get down to 75 on 8/27 and down to 53 by 8/31. Jake Knott is currently 3rd string at LB and David Sims is 3rd string SS for the Eagles. Both are likely going to have to jump someone to make the team. Lenz is 4th string for the Bears. Not sure where Bykowski sits with the Raiders. Seneca is 3rd string with the Saints. Both Hayworth Hicks and AJ Klein are 2nd string with the Panthers. Reggie Stephens is 3rd string with the Ravens. Tim Dobbins is on the Texans roster but their depth chart is incomplete. McDonough is no longer listed on the Jets roster.

Obviously, KO is safe and I think that Klein and Hicks are as well. Seneca may be a victim of being a veteran and having competition from someone with a lesser salary, I don't know. Same with Dobbins. Knott, Stephens, Bykowski and Sims are all vulnerable. Hope they make the cut. I don't know that Lenz makes the team unless he can prove to be a solid PR to back up Hester. If they really like him, I could see them putting him on the practice squad.

Bykowski is with the 49ers, probably why you couldn't find him. The depth chart they released for their game this weekend has him listed 2nd String at LT behind Staley.

Pretty sure extra qbs are kept around so Seneca should be safe and be getting as paycheck.

As for Klein I can't remember the article to link it but one of their insiders thought he could pretty easily find himself starting if the current injury issues they have don't clear up.

Don't forget LJ. He's starting CB opposite Revis for Bucs. Personally, I would be surprised if Knott does not make the roster - whether in Philly or elsewhere.

Dobbins was the Texans' Special Teams captain last season and moved to starter once Cushing went down. Think he's probably going to make it.
