Actually Helping Farmers shirt

Bump. Are these shirts now extinct? The link on the WRNL page isn't working anymore and I can't seem to find them on google

A good way to find out quickly would be to post on a WRNL article or email them...
 
IIRC the Iowa farm bureau made them stop selling this shirt. Glad I got ahold of one a couple years back!
 
Love to have one. What is keeping a few bootleg versions from getting circulated?
 
The U of I got ****** about it, complained to SB Nation, and SB Nation made them pull it.

its pretty clearly protected parody, but Iowa is more than willing and capable of litigation over it, and even though SB nation/WRNL would have won, the decision was made to drop it because the shirt sales profits didn't justify getting into a legal battle.
 
The more I think about this ANF campaign that Iowa has done the more it reminds me of something that JP would do and Iowa fans would rip us for. But if Iowa does it, it's cool.

FWIW, I wear mine in the CR/IC area and I've had people in Iowa gear come up and think the shirt was funny too.

Iowa should have ANN shirts/stickers. America needs nurses. That makes wayyyy more sense.

ANAL - America Needs Another Lawyer
ANF - Actually No Farmers
AND - America Needs Doctors

Since the AHF shirts got shut down, can we make America Needs Doctors shirts? I think that would be hilarious.
 
So glad I bought one a few years back. I couldn't fit into then, but I'll be able to this fall :yes:

If that is true the U of I got that bent out of shape about it, that is just pathetic on their part.

It's a freakin' parody t-shirt. College rivals all over the nation make them.

Of course they got pizzed...nothing ruins a meaningless feel-good PR smoke and mirrors show like people pointing out that it's just a meaningless feel-good PR smoke and mirrors show.
 
Hayden Fry probably could have been a masterful politician. Flipping your enemy's strength into your own (regardless of if it's rational or not) is one of the most successful strategies. It leads to idiots laughing at 'Moo U' while applauding ANF but they are your idiots who buy tickets/vote for you.
