Draining the mofo for the winter. I can say that although a sh*t ton of work on the front end, my two kids were in it nearly every day. Worth it.

Just filled the SOB. On summer #4. Same pool. Upgraded to a sand pump though.

Just get a galvanized cattle tank. You can also go tanking with it. That is actually pretty fun. Put in a small picnic table and tank down the river.

Nice. But then you don’t get the pleasure and fun of taking one down and putting it up every year.

Black tubing on the roof or black painted sheets of plywood … water pump to cycle it.

60F is damn cold lol. I am on lake Minnetonka now and it’s 70F and it feels ice cold.

Posted in this thread back in 2020, the pool is now 10 years old. Still going strong on first liner. Had to replace 1 heater and 1 pump, and several deckboards are being replaced as needed. Probably have a few years left, but got our moneys worth.

ya, im looking into this... also solar for the pump but 220v on solar and battery is a challenge

Yes, put a in a 16x32 oval, dug it 2 feet in ground, then a 7ft deep end, with a full deck. For the deck, 4 ft and overall 30x40 with a bump out section. The pool is plumbed like and inground and I use both a sand and cartridge filter, that I can double filter or switch to one to finish out the season. Heated with a bypass option to save running water through the heater if not using.
