Just get this soap opera over with

I'm curious what would happen, cap-wise, if Rodgers retired before June 1. Would his entire Dead money charge hit the books for 2021? If so, it would cost the Packers more money than if he'd been on the roster all year. Not a ton, but some. I'm not sure if a post June designation applies to cut players only, or if teams can apply it to retired players as well.

As a Bears fan I am appalled, nay, outraged, that you may think the Bears aren't in the ground in some capacity to start with.

Rodgers will be traded sometime this summer. He’s a cancer in that locker room now after this, and needs a fresh start to finish his career.

Rodgers will be traded after june 2nd to lessen the cap hit.... likely during training camp. He wants to go to SF (Wont happen). His next favorite team is the Raiders. My guess is he ends up in Denver. The Broncos literally have almost no current money tied up in the QB position. Denver will be the team to give up their future for the Rodgers cancer machine. On the plus side.... 2 meetings per year with Mahomes.

I hope AR ends up in San Fran. Would be fun to see him win another super bowl. Packers obviously have no interest in doing that.
Aaron cannot seem to live down the Jordan Love draft from a year ago. Part of me understands his frustration. But teams also have to prep for the future. Can argue they haven't acquired enough wr's but they have davonte adams - a future hof game guy and they have some quality guys like Lazard and others around the wr room.

I'm happy i'm not a packers fan what a mess. For him I think its kind of careful what you wish for. The broncos and raiders are no better organizations than green bay right now. Green Bay is close to a superbowl and it would make sense to finish out the career there.

It's too late for GB to save Rodgers. Aaron hates everybody in the front office. He simply wants out.

I think people understand planning for the future, but I think there is a lot of debate on if they’ve done enough for now. You can always plan for the future and die before you ever get there.

As both a Rodgers and Packers fan, I think the front office has mismanaged a lot over the past 20 years but having two HOF QBs covered a lot. Now, I know they’ve done some things to always be competitive, but they always did it the cheap way and never went above the minimum and it’s resulted in wasting some of their best opportunities at championship teams. They never utilize free agency the way they should and their pick of Love was always a huge risk. Either you make a run for the now and go all in on Rodgers, or you prep for the future and make the trades to take a damn better prospect than Love.
