Aaron Cosby

He's a very good player. If there is room he'd be a very good get. Notice who comes up as a similar player when you click the link above?

If you're this kid and see Fred's success with transfers and also notice that you're a perfect fit for his system, why wouldn't you want to come play for him? The only thing I can think of is playing time but those things always works itself out.

I wonder if he wanted to play close to home (hence the decision of Seton Hall over Indiana)

Here is Seton Hall's fans opinions of him:

Most all of them sent him their best wishes, but hoped he would stay. Judging by reading their posts, they thought that he was a very solid shooting guard who had improved a lot over his two years there, especially towards the end of this season. However, they said that due to needs, he was forced over to play point guard more than he would have liked to to in order to fill the need. Apparently they say he lacks the ball handling skills needed to excel at the point and it resulted in some frustrations. Overall though, they sounded very complimentary and some though he had the potential to be a future star there, but he definitely sounds like a SG prospect for us, not a point guard.

Having to fill in at the point while not having the skills would explain the turnovers and poor assist to turnover ratio.

Dibs on this sign in Cyclone Alley when he comes here:

Would love this guy. I understand some peoples views on transfers, but quality transfers need a serious look. 2 years experience at the D1 level playing in the Big East, great 3 points shooter and 2 years eligability to play. Yes please.

I imagine I'm not the only one in the boat that doesn't worry one bit about recruiting quality shooting guards with CFH at the helm in the future. I think most people are more worried about whether he can recruit quality bigs consistently. I guess time will only tell. I don't think there is any question which one he prioritizes with his recruiting.

This. I hope we never go away from transfers. Doing it "the right way" as Hoks like to say is not going to be a recipe for success now or in the future for CBB. We need to have a solid mix of transfers and top 100 high school players to take it to the next level.
