A Humble Thanks from me.

Didn't realize NDSU was on tap for the Hawkeyes in 2016. Looking forward to watching that one.

A lot can happen in 2 years for a football team. I hope they keep it up and give the hawkeyes a game, but I wouldn't be betting on it yet. Still good job to NDSU today.

The Bison fans around me were the most obnoxious fans I have every witnessed in Jack Trice. Worse than Hoks. There was almost a fight a few rows down were I was.

Iowa is smart and doesn't schedule tough teams

This game was announced as being scheduled 5 years ago. (October 5, 2010 to be exact due to the realignment). At that point NDSU was 11-15 with a primarily FCS schedule from 2008-that point in 2010. They had just loss to us in 2009 and barely beat a bad Kansas team (went 3-9 that year) 6 to 3. They were far from the powerhouse they are now. This was not seen as a tough game when it was scheduled.

NDSU fans were respectful and represented their team well. Your team also kicked our teams ***.

Now go win another national championship so we feel a little bit better about this loss and beat Iowa in 2016.

I don't see NDSU as a team that will be able to do what they did today for much longer. I think that there are dozens of FCS teams that could have beat us today. They are probably the best of the lot, but like other FCS power schools such as Furman, they will eventually fall to Earth. It is too tough to keep top talent there. The sad thing is that they may lose a few this season.

I thought that this NDSU team was not as good as the UNI team that ISU played last year. But, they didn't make mistakes and ISU made plenty of them. Hopefully we're hiring your coach in 2 years. Obviously, our staff has no idea how to find tough, smart players and get them to play hard. I think that 3/4 of 1AA teams would beat the ISU team that stepped on the field today.

Not sure I would ever put you and humble together...

You have a good team and a solid program that seems to reload. Congratulations on the win and good luck with the rest of the season.

Probably the worst part about this loss is having to listen to a lot of the trash talk from NDSU fans... Having said that I think that ISU played badly enough to end the trash talking, so there is that.

Nice post by lakes.

I sure hope we get to see a UNI vs NDSU game in the playoffs. I think UNI is the better team this year, but I could be wrong. I'd be anxious to look back on this a few months from now.

First off. A Humble Thanks. I am pretty loud and aggressive on the board HOWEVER I was greeted with lots of high fives from iowa state fans. Drank with alot of you at G3 today and even after the game were cool as hell.

We are proud of NDSU and the 5000? Plus were loud today and Iowa State will get better and we are rooting for you. I got beat up pretty bad personally on here yet no one threw a punch at me this weekend. Yet.

Thank you from all of us NDSU fans.

Who was giving NDSU fans high fives at tailgating? I want names.

Who un banned this guy. Your so mean lakes i hope you go away forever because you obviously put some curse our football team and all our playesrs are hurt and we are the worst team in college football minus vanderbilt and we will never ever win another game and in the meanwhile you have twins and vikings season tickets and what do we have! Nothing thats what we have. Thanks a lot. To top it off i think im coming down with ebola.

Ya im starting to think we have fundamental problems in recruiting; s&c; practice engineering and coaching. Cyclone football is dead to me.

I will echo what lakes said. Awesome venue, great fans, and a very fun time out tailgating. The ISU fans all around us in the stands were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Heck, I even missed a couple plays because 1 ISU fan & I were so busy discussing our respective programs. One gentlemen sitting down the row from us went to high school with our head coach, and another guy in front of us had mutual friends in both Iowa and ND. Typical small-town, salt-of-the-earth types that I enjoy talking to. The "Cyclone Power" chant caught me off guard back in 2009, and I was looking forward to hearing that again yesterday...no disappointment there!

Thanks guys for being such gracious hosts, and go kick KSfuc**ingU's butt.

Did that heat and humidity sneak up on you guys sitting in the stands? That was the hottest 80 degrees I have ever sat through. Thank god I had a bottle of SPF50 in my pocket.

Lakes.... you came on here and basically talked smack all summer long about this game, and your team showed up and backed it all up. Congrats!

I only wish ISU could have gave your Bison more of a competition. You will get a better game from UNI than you did from ISU, trust me on that.

This program is in shambles at the moment. I hope you can come back someday where we can actually give you guys a game. I'm glad you had fun though and were treated well.

If it all ended tomorrow, I would be very happy as a fan for 3 championship years and a 25 game win streak.

Yeah this happened by us too. Some dutch bag was so drunk like 4 rows in front of us in section L. He stood the whole time and kept yelling how he didn't care (in more expletive terms). He started chanting when Bundrage was hurt and ran up and down the aisle yelling at NDSU fans to stand up. Then on their first drive after the second first down (first after the penalty) he turned around and started yelling "Where are you?! Where are you?! Where are you?!" He then fell over onto the fans behind him.

His wife (I'm guessing) walked away and some Cyclone fan next to them was getting into it trying to tell the guy to shut up and this girl sitting with the NDSU fans on the edge cussed our fan out and told him to sit down instead of addressing their problem with their own. We let him have it after they punted that series. I think the other girl pulled him out of there and made him switch seats like one drive later.

I know one thing.... if I was a Cyclone fan having to sit behind one of those NDSU fans wearing those huge Bison heads, I would have had to tear that thing off their head and **** on it. That would have ticked me off to sit behind one of them and not being able to see.
