rebelx....do you play any discgolf? And if you do...do you suggest any courses in/around las vegas? If you don't, do you know anyone that does that could provide insight on good courses around the area?

I don't, but my brother does. Most of the newer public parks in Vegas have put in disc golf courses.
I'm not sure how great the course is, but this course is really close to the strip (kitty corner to the airport, southeast corner of the airport)

There's so many really great steak places in Vegas that its probably not right mentioning one over the other. I do know, that for many, many years, the Circus Circus steakhouse was a local pick (see we go to the strip) over the the newer, more prestigious steakhouses.
You may also want to try Lawry's the Prime Rib restaurant just east of the strip on Flamingo.

Also, I know that UNLV buses people from the Thomas & Mack (our bball arena) to the stadium. I'm not sure, though, if that's for students only. I know its public transportation, and its free to the students, but just not sure if its only for the students. Those buses leave all day to the game, and usually return at all hours of the night after the game.
My guess is that taxis won't be the best method to use. That said, the airport taxis are amazingly quick, and we have so many taxis, I'm sure it could be a viable option getting a cab. I just can't say for sure.

I am not making it to the game, I'll be watching from a local pub, but I am impressed with your help and advice RebelX, your better than a travel agent, I've been to Vegas several times but have learned so much from just reading your posts. Thanks man...I remember your fans from 2 games ago when you played us in our Stadium. I remember pregame, my brother and I were both disheartened by how much bigger your lines were than ours...we felt like we were a juco going up against a D1 school.
This year is different. We've upgraded the talent on the lines, and got some great size and speed nearly everywhere on the field.
..but one thing I have to say, is that I've posted on message boards for 10-15 years....and in my time, the ISU fans have been some of the best. There's always jackasses on both teams' fan sidelines, but for the most part, your fans have been great. Teaches us a great lesson on support of your team....you travel, at times, more than we get at home games (not really but, its not that far off). Its good for our fanbase to be a part of that.
We get it with BYU in our conference, and little with Wyoming and New Mexico...and to a lesser extent Utah...but even BYU would struggle traveling 10,000 fans from as far as Iowa to Vegas. BYU fans bring troves here, but they can wake up in their beds in the morning and drive to Vegas and be here before noon.....its not a tough trip.
rebelx - if you don't have a paying position with the Chamber of Commerce - you should have one. I'm already re-routing my mid Winter trip plans to Nevada. I love Florida but it gets old, seeing the same stuff every year.
