A.1. or Heinz 57?

This is about what you put on your grilled steak. For me, a really good steak doesn't need anything, but if someone else is cooking and they burn it, or I get a cheap cut and need to liven it up, Heinz 57 is my go-to. I don't understand A.1. I think it tastes weird.

Big A1 guy here. I'm even degenerate enough to want it on good steaks, just 'cuz I like the taste that much. I don't really use it on much outside of steaks, though.

Good steak is just rare enough that the juices are the only sauce you need. If I'm served an overcooked piece of leather then I'd say whatever sauce is available to prevent myself from a mouthful a dry beef.

Nothing on steak, I like steak from medium-rare to burnt just plain. Cheap or not. I don't even like seasoning of any kind on my steak. Just the meat.

I like A1 better, but I wouldn't put it on my steak. I'd just pour some on my plate and dip my fork in it for a taste.

If you are using A1 or 57 you need to up your grilling game.

I love A1, but you don't put a god damn thing on steak unless it's over cooked or week old leftovers.

57 is ok (especially with chicken), but I use A1 as one of my go-to condiments.
