Yeah, I guess I'm dumb for even trying to think that is possible. I guess the hours and hours of shows on tv everyday that talk about it still aren't enough for people.
Was flipping through the channels and found We're the Millers and caught this gem from that movie.
When MJ played with the level of players LeBron did for a long time in his.career, he didn’t even make the playoffs.
Like, they had crowds come to the United Center to watch this doc like a movie theater?
More evidence that over 20 years later, his brand and power is still ginormous.

Agreed. Lebron is still behind Bird as the best small forward. Another player who had the killer instinct as MJ did.
I'm born and bred Chicago, so I probably have bias, but Jordan is the greatest without question. The fact that everyone, including LeBron is still compared to him says it all.
That said, LeBron is an incredible player who entered the league with more pressure than anyone I can think of and actually lived up to the hype and exceeded it. He is truly great, but as others have said, he does not have the killer instinct that Jordan did/does. I have great respect for LeBron, but he is a different type of player and a different man and deserves his own pedestal.

Generation Z you mean. The kids born in the 80’s or before know who the GOAT is. I know Jordan is the greatest. No one can even touch him. LeBron is the most gifted player but he’s never had that “I’m not losing attitude, and I’ll put this team on my back” trait. Jordan’s teams weren’t nearly as talented as LeBrons. I’m not even sure LeBron would make my top three all time. Jordan and Magic to me are the two greatest. Chamberlain, Abdul Jabbar, LeBron, Kobe, Duncan, Russell, Bird and well as a few others could also make claim to being in the top 5 all time.
Perhaps you're younger than I thought. Nobody old enough to see the Jordan Bulls buys the nonsense that they were some loaded all star team. If Horace Grant or BJ Armstrong hadn't played with MJ .05% of today's NBA fans would know who they were.
The third best offensive player on every Bulls team was typically pretty average, or a one dimensional shooter. The second threepete team did have historically elite defensive lineup. MJ's only one true legit advantage over LeBron is he had better and more consistent coaching, how much of that is MJ's credit and how much of LeBron's musical chairs coaching is his own doing...that's a great discussion on its own. The advantage wasn't just Jackson but also Winters.
LeBron was on an all star team of his own creation, his scoring average dropped 10 ppg from his regular season average in a Finals. They lost the series. That exactly right there is why he isn't goat. It also probably makes him a nicer person to be around. MJ's scoring explodes in finals and playoffs average. He's the only player who can say 33 points was statistically a bad playoff game and he has six rings.

We watched the actual away games live on the Jumbotron of the United Center with several thousand Bulls fans.
People who think Jordan is the goat think history stopped after 1998.
The main thing on the doc is people saying...oh he wasn't a nice guy...oh he demanded the ball in the playoffs.
It's why he's the goat. You can compare it to others in the situation. He made it all about him and went 6/6 in the finals. The idea that those teams were loaded with all stars is some fantasy only people under 35 who didn't watch could possibly believe.
Hmmmm, can someone from Northeast Ohio be objective on this debate?

That's why no way no how will anyone convince me otherwise that LeBron isn't the GOAT. He won the only championship I'll ever see in my lifetime.
