9 seconds left in regulation

Monte's great, and his best traits are finishing in traffic and his mid-range game. His mid-range jumper had been on all night. Run the ball up the floor, let George set you a pick and pop, put Burton on the opposite block and let Matt and Dule spread the floor. If Monte gets a good look in mid range or at the rim, great. Otherwise, he will have a good option.

Go back and watch the shot. He juked Medford and got a decent look. No one even had a hand in his face although it looked like he got bumped from the side a little by Medford after he elevated which threw off the shot.

Also Baylor was in a 1-3-1 zone which made it more difficult to get a shot in the lane.

I'm finding it hard to believe that our best player, leading scorer in the game, and potential AA wasn't just wide open on that last possession. It makes no sense that Baylor would even try to guard him let alone pay EXTRA attention to him.

Plenty of missed chances up to that point to get some distance and maybe seal it, so it can't be entirely on that possession. But lack of urgency and apparently no strategy to get a good shot -- boggling. A starter has fouled out, have no depth, on the road -- and you are ok to settle for overtime? Frustrating

Man even my wife was saying I cant believe they keep doing the same thing over and over at the end of games with the same losing result..
Wish Monte would learn and quit trying to play hero from the outside and go for a better shot.
He is as unclutch at the end of games this year as you can get. Borderline costing ISU games with bad decisions.
Iowa? OU?
