8:10

You knew they had to go cold against Iowa State sometime after 3 halves going back to the game in Norman!!!

Excellent coaching adjustments combined with hustle and poise by our men on the floor. That is a season's worth of learning displayed in 8:10 of game time. Fun to watch Hilton South come alive on TV. Wish I was there!

But I thought we didn't place defense?

It simply amazes me that at least a couple of idiot posters (whose handles I don't remember, which is a good thing in this case as to deny them the recognition they don't deserve) were on here a couple of weeks ago or so pooh-pooing those of us who were openly discussing the lack of defense on this team and calling us "whiners" and essentially saying that playing defense isn't important.

If one of those idiot posters is reading this thread...re-watch today's second half, educate yourself (if you are indeed capable of being educated) and then come back and post. Otherwise, GTFO.

OU really blew it. Our intensity was awesome the second half but OU didn't even try to go to Osby or Pledger. I can't even remember Pledger touching the ball in the second half and Osby was a complete non-factor the last 10 minutes. What a win, what great defense.

8:10- when i turned the TV off, and told my self, the that the only way these clones will win is if i don't watch!

Wasn't Pledger Babbed?

Exactly what i did. Even quit listening until i checked and they were within 3. Then listen to finish.

Almost lost control when John Walter called*Babb's long three.

And based on the ESPN stats it looks like OU only had 1 turnover in the second half and we still beat them by 15 in the second half. It was fun to watch, the last 8 minutes anyway.

I'm still not sure how ISU won that game considering how they were playing and how OU was hitting everything. I'm just going to give up early on the game tomorrow so the team stays loose!:spinny:

Great thread. For as much crap as they've taken at times for late game defense, they for damn sure earned the praise today.
