7 months . . .

No, but a little verbose and hyperbolic.
And what might one say about your style, vanilla, mundane? One difference between you and me: I'll tolerate your inadequacies without comment (other than this one time.)

I'm much more easygoing and conversational on other sites (e.g., hobby groups). There, sharing information and conviviality is the goal. (I've yet to run into snarky people at All Cyclones, I hope that doesn't change.)

Here, too often smart ***** lurk under rocks, poised to strike rattlesnake-like at the comments of fellow fans whose benign purpose, by expressing thoughts on the news of the day, is to share the Cyclone experience.

My writing style at CF is stiff, often melodramatic, probably to give myself a sense of stiff-armed defense against those sad people who gain pleasure by attacking well-meaning others.

So be it. You don't like my comments or the way I present them? Tough, I wasn't talking to you.

Just ignore the d-bags, you do you.

I agree, the first 7 months have to be better than anyone could have imagined. As CMC has said himself, it is really easy to sell a vision when they have not played any games yet. I have confidence in this staff. If we can over achieve a little this fall and get some real excitement, watch out.

You came back to edit this post an hour and a half after you originally posted it. I think you're trying too hard. What NorthCyd said wasn't even an attack.

Are you saying I should care what you think?

You sound like an *******. Internet anonymity is great, huh? Carry on.
Anonymity?

Cedar Rapids, Iowa

I've long thought - and used to say so (repeatedly on Cyclone Report; anonymity is the reason I left there years ago) - that all postings should be signed with name and city. i was whistling in the wind and gave it up.

Just now I edited my signature to include my name and city. I invite you to do the same. Or, do you prefer to hide behind internet anonymity?

I try not to say things online that I wouldn't say to someone's face. My name is Jack Hardy, and my current city is conveniently mentioned to the left in my profile. However, if you want to come down to drink beers, or murder me, you're going to have to make it quick, because we move to Kansas City in 5 days.

Damn guys, I know some people on here are irritated by me, and vice-versa, but come on. There's enough hatred in the world without Clone fans turning on each other, save that for Iowa.

Campbell is winless and undefeated in 7 months at ISU. Think about that, just think about it. I'm not going anywhere with this. Just think about it. Then think some more about it.

You know I've thought about it, and I like where you're going with this. But give me some more time to think about it to be sure.

Jack, I have not written anything on any site that I would not say to someone's face. I agree with you. Can GTO and a few others here say the same? We'll see if they sign their posts in the future or write what they will while hiding.

If I were to come to your town, it would be to drink beer. Anything else would be childish. Moving is a huge pain, you might need a beer - or two - during the move to reduce the pain. ;-)

I KNEW that guy was real, I KNEW it!! Nobody ever believed me, but here it is, on the Internet!
That guy's on my Ignore List and I sometimes see what he has to say when he's quoted, but at least he signed his post.

IMO, name and city should be required here just as it is on all the Yahoo groups to which I subscribe. The publisher and writers here byline their work, why shouldn't subscribers here stand behind what they write with name and city?
