Noted this interesting data from Cyclone Sidebar about the approaching 600 game 3 point streak:
"With a streak covering 19 years, there had to be a few games where it very nearly came to an end. Below are a few of those moments.
- Seven times Iowa State hit just one 3-pointer in a game, and of those seven, five were in the second half.
- The latest ISU knocked down a 3-pointer was with just 4:05 remaining in the second half when Julie Hand sank a trey in March of 1997 against Colorado. The 3-pointer was also the only make of the game for ISU."

Here's hoping there is no suspense, let's make 'em early and often. " Over the 600-game streak, Iowa State has drained 4,650 3-pointers for an average of 7.76 per game." The last few games have been an aberation. Did anyone see the shot by "Anne O’Neil, who hit a trey just 0:07 seconds into the first half at Kansas in January of 2005?"

I wonder what the NCAA record is. That's a pretty amazing feat.

Edit- just found out, for men, Princeton, UNLV, and Vandy have hit one every game since the three was allowed.

Really? I find that hard to believe.... especially the Princeton part. They are not known for their prowess shooting the three.....

I was wondering if that was the game Wilkins hit ISU's only three, but it isn't. Mary Fox hit the only one in this game:

The 7 games where ISU only made one three-pointer:
1995 vs Nebraska (Tara Gunderson)
1997 vs Colorado, in KC (Julie Hand)
2002 vs Colorado, in KC (Tracy Gahan)
2003 at Oklahoma (Mary Fox)
2004 at Kansas State (Lisa Kriener)
2006 vs Texas Tech (Brittany Wilkins)
2010 vs Kansas State (Kelsey Bolte)

for men, Princeton, UNLV, and Vandy have hit one every game since the three was allowed.

UNLV is the overall leader, with 860 games (through Saturday).

ISU's 600 is the women's D-1 record. They've been on top since Feb 2011.
