49er's - Cowboys

I guess throwing 4 touchdowns against a losing team didn’t prepare Dak to actually win a big game. Thank God Jimmy blew a wad on his quarterback.

I would debate that. Given how poorly his line was protecting and how ineffective they were running the ball for most of the game, I think Brock played outstanding!

He played the game that was needed to win. No, he was not being dynamic and throwing the ball all over the place. But that wasn't needed tonight. Control the ball and make the tight passes to move the chains.

Now, if he puts up a similar stat line next week, they'll probably lose. Philly's defense can be scored on and I'd assume their offense will put up more than 12. So Brock will need to put up more yards and Shanahan will coach him to do just that.

It makes you wonder if teams rethink the whole pay a QB all the money strategy. Go out and get a serviceable one and spend money on the supporting cast.

Why this isn't the general process is pretty wild but they did it to themselves.

If you pay attention to when many QBs win Super Bowls it’s when they are younger. They are hungry, not concerned about a huge contract and they are fairly economical for the team so they can spend money on 4-5 big players and not just one.
