49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

While the past seasons the 49ers were getting a bunch of high level performances from guys on their first deals, this isn’t really the case for the Niners right now outside of Purdy and Ayiuk. It’s still a good roster, but they are paying for it and means little salary cap room for next year. While in past years you could say most units on the 49ers were over performing their contracts. Not sure you can say that outside of QB and to a lesser extent a couple others.

Franchise QBs take up so much of the salary cap that getting a franchise QB isn’t good enough. Once he’s on that franchise QB salary, the rest of the roster takes a big hit. Things are going to get interesting when they pay Purdy.

You can thank the Vikings paying Kirk Cousins $35 million per for that. Purdy should ask for at least that.

I'm hoping he works out a deal where he gets like 25 million, but a "consulting" job with them when he retires.

I mean, I’m sure it is. But TT has freaking Mahomes. How much better than ours has their recruiting been? I think that some of that is overblown.

Have you ever been to ******* Lubbock? We out recruit TT just based on how much better Ames is

Cowherd is a terrible interviewer as well. After someone answers a question he usually just responds with a "hm" while he is preparing his next question or personal commentary.

I never got the appeal, almost single handedly turned me off solo radio/podcast shows.
