NO, people who realize that Iowa State is one of the very worst programs in the history of the NCAA, didn't want Chizik fired.

People that realized that mac left a deeper crater of a program than he inherited, with a few nicer facilities (thanks Gene Smith, and sorry baseball), didn't want Chizik fired.

People that realized all of the tenuous state we had in the BCS/P5 conference, didn't want him fired.

People that realized that the inherent disadvantages that were used as excuses by bruiser mccarney were real. Of course now, they don't seem to matter, didn't want him fired

Is that 4.95 m a one time lump sum payment? Or would it be paid over the 7 years, and be reduced even further if Rhoads were to find employment somewhere in the next 7 years?

I haven't been a Mangino fan since day 1. I have zero respect for the guy and I cringe every time I see him on our sideline. I was really hoping we would try someone else.
 
With 10K fewer tickets sold and conservative concessions sales loss, you are well on the way to this buyout number. It simply must be considered at this point, particularly if you can schedule the payout over a long period.

Mac inherited a winless team with little fan support. Pretty sure he left ISU fball in a hell of a lot better shape than when he got here. Get a clue.
