3 day, winter trip to St. Louis, experience or ideas?

City Museum is awesome. Schlafly is worth a visit. The Arch and museum at the base are great.

Union Station has a really neat aquarium and an old timey soda fountain that my kid really likes.
Union Station also has a Polar Express experience. Not sure what it all entails but my sister and her family just were there yesterday and my young nephews loved it.

For me, multiple places in the Central West end were great pre-Pandemic. Some are closed, relocated. Chase Park Plaza is a cool hotel to stay at and good location to a lot of the areas mentioned in this thread.

Union Station is fun to stay at and a must for the kiddos now after the renovation. Neat place.

I’m not sure what the place is called nuts it like the “Botanical Gardens” or whatever and they have a pretty cool Christmas light show/festive experiences thing going on.

Yes and a good learning experience for the kids.
We didn't do elaborate vacas when I was a kid, but we did hit St. Louis for Six Flaggs one year and we did the Budweiser tour, got to sit in the carriage with the Clydesdales, I'm sure it was on dad's list for the free beer but I remember it to this day. Those horses were the size of dinosaurs to me back then.

We went years ago around 4th of July. It was hot AF and the a/c was out in our car so it was windows down the whole way there and back. We did the Bud tour, Grants Farm, the Arch and Six Flags and had a lot of fun but that ride was hell.

We went in 1979. I'm certain the old stationwagon didn't even have A/C and the four of us kids were climbing all over those seats unbuckled the entire way.

We did the STL Polar Express experience last year and the kids loved it. They reenact scenes from the movie, punch the kids initials on the tickets, give out hot chocolate and cookies, and Santa walks through the train car on the way back to Union Station. Highly recommended!

I was in town about 3 years ago for a Blues hockey game and we went to this museum. I really enjoyed it.

Also a trip to Fitz Root Beer is a fun place to eat in University City. That Delmar loop area is kind of fun to walk around with some little local shops and stuff. They make all kinds of fun craft sodas, not just root beer

Hey, like the title says we're going to St. Louis for a long weekend trip. Just to take in the big city Christmas experience. We have 2.5 yr old. Looking for family friendly things to do in winter. Seeing if I can crowd source some advice.

We are staying down by the Arch.
We are doing a Polar Express ride at the Union Station.
Planning on doing a Children's Museum, this is my main question. There are a few, which one is "the one". Is it Magic House, on Kirkwood Rd?
Anything else I need to do or seriously consider?

Thanks in advance!

How old are your kids? The City Museum is amazing and will keep them busy all day and they will be exhausted.

Since I didn't see it I'm going to put in a plug for the Science Center.

It is really cool, definitely recommend. Has a cool skybridge over the interstate with windows you can see the traffic whiz by. Great planetarium as well. Lots of live demonstrations too that kids like.
