Keep Sano around as a bench bat and give Arraez/Gonzalez (when he returns) the majority of starts at 3rd. Sano’s strikeout rate is just too much of a liability to have in the lineup every day

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with this. Starting to wonder if Sano will ever be a consistent bat for the Twins. Arraez is a pleasant surprise who's earning his stay in the Bigs.
He's becoming Cerrano from Major League. Straight ball I hit good. Curve ball I no hit.
Great to see the Bomba Squad back today. We'll have to wait for Rosario until after the break, but at least we have Buxton and Gonzalez back in the OF. Cave sent back down as he continues to look like he really regressed at the plate from last year.
Giants will be looking for prospects. No way Twins get him for a Parker and Cave. No way either is even in any package. Saw a Smith comparison to Britton who was also on a end of year deal last year. Yanks gave up a #11 and #22 prospect and Britton wasn't doing that great at the time. Cleveland gave the Yanks a boatload of prospects including their #2 and #6 for Andrew Miller a couple years ago. You aren't going to "outbid" other teams unless you offer something that may be of future value in a rebuild. If it's riskless and painless it won't happen.

Kepler and Buxton are bigger snubs than Rosario. Kepler has far better offensive stats and somewhat better defense and Buxton has essentially the same hitting line and is a the best defensive outfielder in baseball.
Never said they'd get Smith for Parker and Cave. Was trying to say that the Twins should get rid of these guys along with some other trade bait. Agree SF wouldn't want Parker, but Cave is a slight possibility. The only prospects I seen rumored for Smith is by SI-- #22 OF LaMonte Wade and #23 P Griffin Jax.
Not sure what this team did to be suddenly cursed with injuries (yeah, Boxster, we ain't seen nothin yet, I know), but it seems like all the karma has turned. Last night was "Ex-Twins beat up on Twins" night.
Just have to struggle through this - maybe after the All-Star break the Era of Good Feeling can return.

The injuries will certainly test the moxie of this club but I just get the sense that they have plenty of it in that clubhouse
You can make a great case for all three. Not sure I'd agree about Kepler having far better offensive stats than Rosario, and there's quite a gap between those two and Buxton offensively. Kepler is probably the biggest snub to me. He's been very good defensively in addition to the patience and slugging. Looking at his swing, he looks like he's going to be a superstar. So compact and quick, and lately pitchers are making the pitch they want and he's still crushing it. As for Buxton, he's getting there for sure. I think between the newly acquired vets and the emergence of Rosie, Polanco and Kepler have taken a ton of pressure of Buxton at the plate. Sano looks terrible at times, but amazingly his OPS is almost identical to Kepler.
Boxster's second rule of having a good season and maybe a WS run is "Stay Healthy". Rule one of course is "Be Good". Rule 2 is mostly good luck (or bad luck as the case may be).
