.

Sounds like Pineda to the DL and a minor leaguer to start tonight against Milwaukee's ace. Going to need the bats.

Arguably our best reliever gave up the runs last night. Sometimes you just have an off night. It had been a few games since he had pitched and I think it takes a while to get back in the groove.

Agree that Rogers is a good one even though he gave up another long ball. It was our turn last night to take advantage of the Brewers relievers not named Hader.
The Smeltzer kid was fantastic in shutting out the Crew through six. Love his cancer survivor story.

For all the doubters due to the weakness of the AL central, it's important to note that the Twins SOS so far is better than any AL team with a remote shot at the playoffs other than the Astros. Not to mention the Twins have played only 28 home games so far compared to 30 by Houston and 33 by the Yankees.
Granted the Yanks have a TON of power on the shelf right now, so they could definitely tear it up in the second half.

4-3 vs Astros just saying

Taking 3 of 4 in Tampa was a really nice series win. They had been playing good ball coming into the series.

Especially after the bad loss in game one of the series. Now they have a chance to really bury Cleveland this week.

Who would have thought Odo is probably neck and neck with Verlander for the Cy Young at this point in the season. Obviously there is a lot more ball to play, but fun to be in the convo.

Am I the only one who watched highlights of the weekend and (while I still do appreciate and have some great memories) are really freaking glad we don't play in the Dome anymore? I mean they did some things to make that place in Tampa better but damn, I love our park so much better than the Dome.

A guy that I used to work had an irrational hatred towards Odorizzi when he was here in KC. The Royals Got Odo as part of the trade that sent Zack Greinke away. Then the Royals sent him to Tampa with Will Myers to get James Shields and Wade Davis.

The James Shields and Wade Davis duo obviously worked well, but he always associated Odo with badly packaged trades.

P.S. He was a bit of an asshat. I sorta wish he was around so I could rub his nose in it.

Odo with another win today with six strong shutout innings. The guy is on fire and throwing as good as any starter in the league right now.
Impressive series by the Twins taking three out of four from the Devil Rays, in Tampa.

Not to pick nits, but I think the club eliminated the word "Devil" from the team some time ago.

This is exactly what I think about that:

I know, but in my book they are still the Devil Rays. Next thing we know, Cleveland will go PC, and they'll be the Tribe.

And, with the 13th pick in 2019 MLB Draft, the Minnesota Twins select Keoni Cavaco, SS from Eastlake. CA.
He was the #28 rated prospect on the MLB board. Projected as a major league 3B. Plus arm and speed.

Cruz is back, Arraez back to Rochester. The lineup just got scarier. And I see we dealt an OF to Seattle, DMRG didn't say what we got for him. Future considerations?
