.

Great start to a very important stretch last night. Dobnak and Thorpe get them to the 6th, and even though there were a few hiccups, the bullpen was good enough to get it done.

And for added fun, the Chisox managed to beat the Tribe.

Life is good.

Pretty nice win last night. Watching Rogers put down Betts and Devers to end the game seems to be a good sign that he'll be able to perform well in the playoffs.
Go find some wood please. Now.

Gotta get through Boston, Washington, and Cleveland twice (even go 500 in all of that) and then we're rewarded with 13-14 games with bottom feeders to finish out. Its ours for the taking!

86 wins and 34 games above .500 and we hear John Smoltz proclaim last night "The Twins are for real.". No kidding.

Just sucks we're having an amazing year the same time as Houston and NY are having amazing seasons as well. At least we'll get another chance to see what we can do!

All the talking heads are asking how the Yankee bats will do against the Astros big three. The Twins will have no expectations and if their bats are on they can beat either of these two teams. Can't wait.

Agreed. If they can hit the way they are capable of, I like their chances. They've beaten Verlander before this year so hopefully could do it again.

Well, the Twins bullpen is a strength and the Indians bullpen is showing cracks. Did anybody see this scenario coming?

That was an incredibly entertaining game. Baldelli pulling Schoop for La Tortuga seemed like a head-scratcher, and then Willians takes 4 pitches in a row (!!!!!!!) and laces the game winner to right field.

Eddie goosing Devers at the dish to end it all seemed almost poetic.

Classic baseball. Stiffy material.

My buddy texted me simply saying "holy ****"...so I knew something epic must have happened with the Twins.

Had to post this pic, the last out of the game last night. Just check out the fans' faces in the background (yeah, I've felt that pain):

Dude in the gray shirt looks like his head is getting ready to fall off the back of his body.
The guy in the blue shirt in the front row is getting ready to swear. Loudly.
Meanwhile the guy with the Twins jersey is waiting to make sure the ball doesn't come out before he exhales.

Sort of a light hardhearted Star Tribune take from players on best visitor clubhouse. Boston was pretty much at the bottom. Hate on the Yankee but the players do appreciate that they don't cheap out on accommodations and food spread for the visitors.

“Steak and lobster and shrimp and dessert and five different lunches. They really spoil us there,” Mitch Garver said. “In some ballparks, they put out one dish for the day, and it’ll sit there on heating pads all day and just get dried out. But in New York, there’s always something new. Great clubhouse, great food.”

“Food is important. You eat a lot of meals in the clubhouse,” agreed Berrios, who named Yankee Stadium as his favorite. “But Kansas [City], Seattle, Chicago, they have good food and great people, too.”

Huge series this weekend. Get the sweep and its all but done. Get swept and they're right back in it. Just go 1-2 at the least and we escape still with a 5.5 game lead.

I can’t find it now on Twitter but there was a really cool video someone took with their phone from the left field seats of Rosie getting the ball and rifling it back in to get Devers and then Eddies reaction from left field. If someone found it it would be worth posting and watching... repeatedly.
