I guess Dolph and Fran are going to watch the Rutgers game together and eat pizza.
I don't believe the University has any power over Dolphin. He was suspended by Learfield Sports Properties.
The reason this has some validity to me is that it didn’t come out immediately.
Random fan...immediately goes on Twitter or email to AD. Since it was a couple days it was someone with access to the audio and maybe reviewing it for something like that...Learfield has that audio.
Anyway, somebody at Learfield looking for something to dump GD’s contract is a plausible “conspiracy theory” IMO. At least as plausible as the “Frans behind it” theory.
Either way, it’s a pretty cynical use of “political correctness” to try and cover up somebody trying to get rid of dolph.
Hopefully Leerfield forwarded said email to Barta and it comes out in a FOIA request

I question that. If Fran is allowed into Carver to present Baer his jersey, why would he leave the locker room after that?

CW said on the radio yesterday that he doesn't buy this at all basically. And Iowa would have the final say.
All I know is that Fran said they might get Pizza at the Wig and Pen and watch the game together in his office. I guess "might" is the key word.
I was listening to the Postgame radio broadcast on Tuesday and it seemed like the Learfield message was something along the lines of "The announcers are employees or something like that of Learfield Sports Properties under the Approval of the University of Iowa" or something around those lines....It struck me as different from what I usually hear or maybe I've never paid attention to it.
Anyone able to replay the 'closing message' of Learfield Sports during radio broadcasts?
