I usually wear a waterproof hiking boot when there is too much snow or slush and dress shoes when there isn't. I don't bother changing because I am old and don't care what people think. I can always point out that I spend a lot of time on construction sites if anyone says anything. I used to have a pair of dress shoes under my desk but after not wearing them for a couple of years I got rid of them.
As far as snow boots go - Bogs all the way. I have never had cold wet feet since I started wearing them. When we were buying them every year for growing kids feet we found the knock offs at Fleet Farm perform pretty much just as well.
