Whoever was running the site had an alleged agreement (I think it involved servers) with the person running it now. The new person sued the OG. The lawsuit thread was pretty humorous with what was being said in court. OG told everyone what was happening and they started posting crap to make sure it went down in flames.

A new site was formed with a new web admin. Everyone moved there. surlyhorns.com @Al_4_State is a regular over there. He could give better details.

You pretty well summed it up.

Easily my favorite message board. It’s got a lot wider range than UT and there are a ton of fans from a lot of different schools that post there.

I'm a Longhorn who came around here when you beat us the first time at DKR Memorial Stadium. I like the Cyclones because y'all do not accept that you belong at the bottom of any conference. Seems like your teams rarely quit.

Congrats on where you are as a team this year. Nobody thought the Texas-Iowa State game would have conference championship implications as neither of us were picked as elite teams.

It's one of those great/fun/frustrating years in college football where, with the exception of Alabama, just about anybody can beat anybody else. It won't be an easy night for anybody come Saturday.

I hope both teams play their best and it's an injury free game.

I can't find the website or reference to it. From what I remember, basically the thing started small and the orginal owner of it got sued or something and had to shut it down. That's not doing it justice though. He went on an EPIC rant before the website went down on shaggybevo calling out everyone he could and explaining how screwed he got.

Did he do it on the site?

Wouldn't it serve more purpose to do that on a site that could be seen or real social media?

Thanks for posting. I've found the UT grads I've met very likable. The Aggies are too much like us with the chip they have on their shoulder. :)

Hawkeye fans, take note. This is how you post on another teams message board. Much respect, and I agree in hoping for an injury free game.

What's your take on LHN?

What's your take on LHN?

It's nice for watching basketball and baseball from time to time. I also like the football coverage and weekly game reviews. The money is great for UT.

Has it been good for Texas? Not sure. It hasn't been good luck since we've nosedived in most sports since the network started. I'd be fine if it were broadened to a conference network, but ESPN thought they could make money off the Longhorn brand.

LHN was the element that blocked us from joining the PAC which might have been good. I don't know.

I guess my take is that the LHN just is. Like I said above, nobody knew this game would have any importance at the beginning of the season, so I imagine there is chagrin that the game is on an obscure ESPN network. I'd be fine if we put the Kansas game on LHN and got broader coverage for the ISU game.

That's about all I got.

Look how many of them are saying "we can't take this game lightly!"

Over-confident f*cks. Typical Texas narcissism..

Yeah this isn't Vince Young's Texas and the difference between the two teams isn't remotely what it was then.

Can't go off of other games but not one result from their schedule makes me think ISU can't win the game so long as they play well.

Its a shitbird channel no one cares about.

I like the burntorangenation thread about us calling this game the biggest in program history. They all think it is because we're playing texas and that they are everyone's superbowl (sound familiar?). I don't have the heart to tell them that it has nothing to do with the name on their jersey...it's because we are playing for a legit shot at the CCG, against another team with CCG aspirations.

Didn’t Bevo get shut down in a slew of porn and questionable of age porn postings?

Don’t know if that’s WHY it got shut down or a last hoorah before it got shut down though.

They always had NSAA but then when the lawsuit happened by the Eskimo Hut guy, the natives burnt it to the ground on way out.

Exactly, we’ve never been in this position in mid November. Texas is the main roadblock left standing in the way because it’s a road game and they are above average this year.

They don't seem to understand it's a matter of immediacy. If/when we beat Texas, the K-State game will then be "the biggest in program history", followed by the CCG. The opponent isn't what's dictating the excitement, the situation is.

The LHN could have worked well for everyone had ESPN, UT, and the Big 12 executed it differently.

UT as the conference’s premier brand should be marketed and paid as such. But there’s just not enough content right now. Replace non-revenue UT sports coverage with some Big 12 football and basketball talk and replays like the SEC network has and I’d pay for it. More schools should have been willing to “sell” Tier-3 to LHN, creating a quasi Big 12 network.
