From what I’ve gathered, I think there was a minor injury to someone important that kept them out of practice for the day and someone blew it way out of proportion and told someone and it spread like wildfire. There were enough people that heard about it that I really don’t think there was absolutely nothing
Somebody should let the "insiders" know that there is no actual pot of leprechauns gold at the end of the insider scoop rainbow.
I had the sense all along that it was just a vague rumor at the water cooler. Literally, in this case. Whether anything ever became of it was another matter.
I don't know if this helps or hurts, but I hate when people are vague and don't give full details to things.
I believe the rumor everyone heard about was that Hakeem Butler tore his ACL. This is almost certainly false with people having seen him and done interviews with him since this whole debacle.
Hopefully this clears the air for anyone still paranoid or afraid. Only four more days til kickoff!

I shared information here because I had concern over the status of the team heading into the season, just like most everyone else that frequents this site.
I was “vague” because there are real, concrete laws against sharing medical information of others when it is not publicly available. I shared anyway because I if I could, it would maybe lessen the blow of such a piece of information, should it hold true.
My mistake was presenting this vague information with a shade of foreboding. I understand that. I did not wish to be the Adam Schefter of this situation. I just didn’t feel great about the news I received and so much so that I couldn’t keep it to myself.
If you look at my post count since joining in 2009, I wouldn’t be one to get on here and spread rumors to receive credit or notoriety.
Glad that said injury information has been proven false and unworthy of further discussion.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Unless you are in a position where you are handling privileged information (and since you didn’t know for sure, clearly you aren’t), those laws don’t apply to you.
Matter of fact, those laws were written specifically to apply to the transmission of health insurance data—but that’s another matter (and for another forum) entirely.
You don't have to apologize for stuff like this. People take their message boarding too seriously.
It's game week and I have no adequate outlet for my enthusiasm (for 3 more days), so keeping this thread freshly bumped is all I have.
If there's an injury, not one person can do anything about it.
If there's NOT an injury, there's likely going to be one at some point.
