Iowa fans sitting around us were fine, just cheering for their team. The biggest moron was a Cyclone fan sitting at the top of section T declaring the game as over with 6 min. to go in the 4th Qtr. He must be new to this whole being a Cyclone fan thing..

All Hawk fans around us were very respectful the entire game. Kudos to those fans. The Hawk tools in the parking lot before the game..not so much. How trashed they were, they may not have been going into the game anyways. I thought the ISU fans were good too except one guy with his young son cursing at Butler (right behind the ISU bench) for dropping that 3rd down pass in overtime. That was uncalled for, especially after the incredible game he had.

Good post. Would read again. Voices in our heads. Last I heard we have 10 more games left.

Nothing like having a thread that makes it clear many of us think a season is limited to one specific game.

There is a "Voices from the stands" thread after home football games and some home basketball games. Been going on for years.
Keep on hating.

Not much talking, but had a Hawk couple sitting next to us that got up an left when ISU was up 7 and Iowa caught the football out of bounds on the kickoff at their 2 yard line. Left before they realized it was called a penalty on ISU. Not sure if they stuck around, but never returned to their seats.

My daughter asked me why the Iowa fans kept saying "Go Hogs" when they'd see each other while walking (it really does sound like that with many of them).
Me, "Have you seen them?"
She quickly replied, "Yes, and smelled them too."
Me, "Hey now, that's just being mean to actual pigs."

Also, I was really disappointed with how many Hogs were in the Sukup End Zone seats. That was really sad.

Had a couple of Hawkeye fans I didn't know come thru our tailgate and try to take beers out of our cooler(which I stopped them from doing), then get pissed and yell "F*** state as they walked away. Other than that, all my interactions with hawkeye fans were cordial. The hawkeye fans sitting next to me in the game were just fine.

Drunk Hawk woman fell on top of me. Feel like she could contribute on our defensive line.

Different drunk woman kept yelling "Clowns are a ******* ********" in the first half. Sobered up at halftime apparently, did nothing but high pitched "Go Hawks" after that.

One moron got really pissed about a pass interference call and every incomplete pass for the rest of the game, said in a whiny voice "pass interference." He was such a jerk, after he left, another Hawk fan apologized to everyone about him.

Had 6 hawk fans sitting around us and all were on their best behavior. Had a Cyclone family with a special needs son probably in his mid 20's that was constantly berating the hawk fans, which included two guys either high school upperclassmen or first year or two in college. He'd get right in their faces and give em hell and they all were very nice even with that.

I really didn't see anything too far out of line except when walking out you'd get the random car full of herky fans that were harassing anybody in cardinal and gold walking withing 50 foot of their car as they headed out of town. Pretty respectfull day.

Not that there was a whole lot for either team to drop their head about.... other than the final score for us Cyclone fans. The teams were pretty well matched.

Seen Peter Jok north of Jacobson building when we were walking in and some college kid comes running at him yelling his name and says. " I have the F******* hawks but I loved you at Valley".... Got quite a few laughs. Even old pete was laughing about that one.
